Visited them a few times before they closed down for renovations. They had one of the best if not the best Lomi in RAK. The traditional Filipino bread were OK and with very few selections. Their Buchi was my wife’s favorite. Their Pandesal was the usual mass produced bread smelled good but would lose the freshness within minutes. They also serve traditional Filipino food which most of what we tried were good but not that great. Fried calamari and sisig was a favorite and the Lomi noodles were I guess their best seller. The Lomi at that time was cooked consistently and retained that Filipino taste we were looking for, we find their Lomi better than Lomi House. After a few months of being closed, they reopened with a new look and a separate bakery. Now the bakery has more selection of breads to choose from. Still the pandesal loses its freshness so fast. We also noticed that their Lomi has lost its consistency in taste, after a few visits and ordering the same Lomi noodles, the taste and texture were different in each visit. Do they have different cooks? Even so, the recipe should be consistent. We believe they have the potential to be the leading Filipino resto in RAK they just have to be consistent with their recipes. The ambience is ok nothing unique except for the occasional live band during weekends. Overall if you are looking for authentic and affordable Filipino food Panaderia might have the chance to satiate your cravings. 3 stars out of 5 more room for improvement.
