I read old reviews and wonder if staff at counter 2 was newly hired or none of the reviewers had to deal with her; very nervous and loud.. nervous in a way that made us feel nervous !!!! lady counter 5 was an angel from above, very pleasant, accommodating and elite. Lady behind counter 2 is a proof that some staff are better kept behind curtains away from the front lines.. She was complaining how overwhelmed with work she is and it was all on the speakers! A lady went to warn her that she is heard on the speakers she replied even louder: "so what? it is normal !!! " with a loud puff !!! Really??!!! This is how the Germans do it?! The security people are so dear and polite and smiley First people you see once you enter and they give you a pleasant impression.. Until you hear lady at counter 2 and then memories and flash backs of missions in rural countries come storming your mind leaving you speechless in a very neutral way.
Service and support was VERY EFFICIENT and fast, all organised and done in timely manner could never complain. Easy free parking right in front of the building. Two sets of chairs; airplane chairs (Lufthansa seating area) and standard ones.. Standard ones are more convenient :)

I don't think I've ever witnessed a more incapable and borderline degrading process in my entire life. Have never been ashamed as a german citizen until getting in touch with the consulate in Dubai. Not only are they unable to answer simple questions even to german citizens, they are simply not present. My friend tried to get a visa to visit my family in Germany and after 22 days of waiting and no responses got a rejection with BS reasons (in german). We sent an official invitation letter and all documents were presented, the passport full of past shengen visas yet they failed miserably to check and verify everything (by simply calling us). I guess fairness and equality isn't one of their characteristics. Highly disappointed.

It is very obvious that the staff of the German Embassy do not understand the purpose of a telephone - so let me explain. When the phone rings SOMEONE/ANYONE of the staff should answer the phone! NO one has the decency in this embassy to answer the phone despite countless tries & attempts. Wake up embassy staff and realize you are employed to serve the people and are paid your salaries by the German people. WORST SERVICE EVER AND THE STANDARD OF SERVICE KEEPS GETTING WORSE EACH DAY. Manners and professional courtesy do not exist in this embassy - its embarrassing.

All the positive reviews here are all fake - if it wasn't for them this embassy would be rated 1star and that only because 0 stars are not possible - will file a complaint with ministry of foreign affairs in Berlin

Worst service possible. Open only 3 hours and then u get to make an appointment next week and then when u want to pick up a document, it can only be done between 9 and 10 am. Hiw ridicoulous.as if we do not have work to do we now must shedule to their needs.
Embassy should be there for its people and not the other way around.
I work in Abu Dhabi and can never make it during this time but would if they had business hours like any other business
I have to give now power of attorney to someone else.
The service was much better 4 years ago. You could come anytime and was helped right away. no appointments, and unananswered phone calls. 15 min in the waiting line and i will have to hang up now..no one answers.
What kind of embarassing German embassy.

as a german citizen it is embarrassing how inefficient this consulate is working. the phone and services seem to be designed to get rid of peopleleads you into some circles of messages and then end in a dead endonce you finally reach somebody you are asked for emails which again end unanswered
only because you are in an inefficient country it doesn"t mean you have to be even more inefficient

This is the worse service ever. I am trieng since 1 week to get an appointment as its for an urgent matter anyhow they fail to call back even they promise every day, the internet page won't let me book online as it keeps on saying email adresse does not match ( is certainly an issue with their system) I expected much better help from my own embassy. Total fail
