Went a few times to the consulate, once to renew my passport, and 2 more times to get visa for my girlfriend. Everything went smooth and easy. The appointments were upheld to the minute and the staff is really nice and friendly. The rating should definetly go up.

My appointment was at 2 pm, I arrived on time, it wasn’t crowded, and anyway I was seen by the officer on time, as other people had not taken an appointment. The consulate official was very friendly and helpful. I’ll be honest, by reading the reviews here I was worried it was going to be a horrible experience, on the contrary, it was efficient and timely.

Expect to be disrespected if you go there, especially if you have general questions to ask, they will not let you in without an appointment, speaking to them through the intercom is your only option and ensure you will have an annoying conversation leaving your blood to boil. Rude and inhuman staff.
Visa processing has taken longer than 25 days even though they will tell you up to 21 days from the day of appointment.response / report this review -

I will rate half star but no option for that. Im Romanian citizen but the service provided by the consulate it's rubish . Just beacuse I didn't have my Romanian ID they couldn't release one attorney letter based on Emirates ID. And the lady from there said that her coleagues cannot accept me after appointment. Mentioning they work max 4 hours daily , starting from 9 am or 10 am, when most of us we have office timings and we skip the work to come and see their sour faces . Thanks Romanian Consulate in Dubai for nothing.

I had an appointment at the Consulate for the renewal of my old passport. I was late a few minutes because of the traffic and I was thinking I will have to wait for hours to get my things done. I just want to share the amazing, professional way how everything it's organised there, how smooth things are going and how polite I have been treated and helped. All my respect for the staff of the Consulate and especially for Madam Consul Teodorovici.

I'm very sad about what I will write in my review because I'm Romanian . I was travelling last 30 years of my life and a great deal of those years with my Romanian passport, so I have been in touch with several Romanian Embassies or Consulates - Beijing, Lima, Milan, Istanbul, Addis Ababa, Copenhagen, to name just a few - everywhere I was invited at least in the waiting lounge, over the foreign public queuing for consular matters, even offered a coffee I'm Romanian, so I consider this Consulate like "my home far away from home" - that's how it should be ! But not here - coming to collect my renewed passport, . after 3 months from application, missing to check the specific schedule for releasing documents, I was kept at the gate (outside, not even accepted through the gate) and informed through an interphone that I should come again next day. I did so, and as traffic is unpredictable, I arrived at the gate 15 min. earlier - this time I didn't deserve not even an interphone conversation - the gate simply didn't open for the missing
15 min, not even accepted in the waiting lounge (working with people inside !) Ridiculous show of power, and very, very disappointing and humiliating for me !response / report this review -

I applied online for 22May but getting appointment for 11June. When i asked for early appointment there is no reply from consulate. Moreover they will take 3 weeks to process visa. Hence in total 6 weeks for getting visa. This is the only country in the world doing so. Moreover when i asked to submit papers early the plainly refused. The person on reception was rude and did not know how to speak.

I want to apply visa to Romania to attend the European trauma congress, their on-line visa application was not working and when you call then answer machine will replay to you.
