I delivered my baby in the hospital on 14 jan under Dr Razia. I cannot describe enough how thankful i am for her support and the lovely mid wives i had looking after me. Delivering a baby weighing 4.3 kg and normal was possible only because of Dr Razia! My previous deliveries being in Corniche hospital, the professionalism and coordinated team work i witnessed here at the time of my delivery was just the best ever!

I delivered my first baby here a month ago and I was very happy with the service I got from the hospital throughout my pregnancy, the delivery and the postpartum care. Dr Raquel, my midwife Saratu and all the nurses were very professional and very kind. Everything is very well organized, the facilities are excellent. They took good care of me and my baby.

I had visited Brightpoint hospital and consulted Dr. Rathi and Dr. Anselma both of them are excellent doctors and all the staff are very courteous. The ambiance of the hospital is very soothing. Overall it is the best place for any women to visit for their health.

It's the best mother and child hospital in Abu Dhabi. Amazing team especially during the delivery of our child. It is a place I recommend for every woman expecting delivery. My family really had a good experience. Dr. Fatima and the whole Labour & delivery team are just amazing.

Just delivered my baby here, the care after is great, nurse would come immediately when she hears baby crying in the room. The issue i did not like was when they made me breastfeed it was so painful as my baby was not latching properly. This could have been avoided if a lactation consultant gave patients advice for breastfeeding. Also the AC in the room is centralized you cannot control on your own, they need to fix this as its not good for you and baby to be too cold or too hot. Otherwise in general greatcare for baby and mother. Thank you to the nurses on 5th floor you were very patient and good to my baby.

Hello Management,
If you are really wish for your patients to be happy you need to have better operations running around . Unexpected waiting time and to get an appointment of a doctor is just close to impossible.
Please concentrate on improving your services.

I recently delivered my first baby at NMC Royal Women’s hospital. I am extremely happy that I chose this hospital and Dr Razia.
Dr Razia is talented and her friendly approach made the whole journey smooth and easy for me. The nurses on my floor were caring and were ready to attend to me and the baby throughout the stay.
Overall, I had an amazing experience and would recommend this hospital to all expectant mothers.response / report this review -

I updated my wife's insurance to "Grade A" to be able to have our baby in this hospital as it is for women.
The first problem we faced was the bed which was very uncomfortable for my wife to the point that she could not sleep so when I asked for a bigger and more sturdy mattress but their answer was "Only in delivery rooms are the better mattresses".
After birth, we spent two days in the in the hospital where honestly I felt like I was a beggar. Every time we asked for diapers and pads, they will give us two or maximum three at a time even though we kept asking for more since as it is known women who give birth keep bleeding afterwards and the baby needed to change his diaper regularly. We had to buy and use our own wet wipes as nurses said if you do not have it then they will use regular tissue. One of the nurses said that if we wanted them to wash the baby, then we need to buy our own shampoo.
My wife did not sleep for more than two days before birth because of the pain so when we asked some of the nurses to take the baby to the nursery, some would take him and some would say that they will only take him if he is asleep but if not then he has to stay with us in the room.
After I got fed-up, I complained to the management where a team was supposed to come and hear our complaints but they never showed up and I received one phone call that they received my complaints and that they will contact me soon after they "investigate" what happened but I have not received any phone calls since then.
Not to mention that my wife was checked-up upon after the delivery till after two days.
All in all it was a horrible experience, and no way I am going to have my future babies in that hospital.response / report this review -

اسواء مستشفى رحته في حياتي كلها. مافيه اهتمام لحالات طوارئ النساء الحوامل. الممرضات غير متعاونات وعابسات الوجهة. الدكتورة المناوبة مشغوله ولم تهتم بحالة الحامل. لا انصح بالذهاب له.

First of all I would like to apologise for the delay in writing this review on Brightpoint hospital. I delivered my beautiful healthy baby girl on 19 Feb, which was 2 weeks earlier than my due date. Although it was my first time at Brightpoint it was the best quality service I have ever received from any hospital in either UAE or abroad. From the welcome committee and receptionists who made sure I was directed to the right place at the right time to the janitorial staff that operated like silent ninjas to ensure my room was clean at all time. The nurses were top notch and constantly available to make sure I was safe and comfortable. Dr. Riza, my anaesthesiologist, took command of the room from the very first second she walked in and ensured that my epidural was extremely effective and led to a painless delivery. I have 5 kids and I took epidural for all but Dr. Riza's application was by far the best. I felt no pain yet I was able to push my child out. Furthermore I was able to walk on my own shortly.
Everyone treated me with respect and care, especially Dr. Shareen who was extremely kind, knowledgeable and throughout my delivery. To be honest she treated me like I was family and no questions or requests were too much. I love her soooooooooo much and value you her.

Good hospital. The nurses are friendly. Comfortable waiting room. They served free coffee too. But they charge me for getting injection. Triple cost from the cost of the medicine which was injected to me. In other hospital hospital they will inject me with free of cost. Even if it is not covered by insurance. I came here just because my doctor just move to this hospital. Very disappointed.

So, after our previous visit, i again visit my doctor in this hospital. In last visit, i have filed a complaint to the management about service charge to get injection. I impress that they listen to that and took actions against my complaint. In my second visit, they didn't charge me for the injections service. I guess you can meet "good" (professional, competent) and "bad" doctors in any hospital. My praise and rating is for Dr Georgetta who performed excellent emergency CS for me. But I knew she was skilled and knowledgeable as I chose her myself. I am also greatly thankful to nurses who looked after me and my baby post-delivery providing me physical and moral support. They were doing fantastic job with human touch.
The only negative thing I can say about this hospital is that appointments never happen on time, so even though they tell you to come 15min earlier, prepare to wait half an hour.response / report this review -

horrible customer service!!!!! please future mom avoid interacting with their receptionist ,
i was there yesterday to see a doctor but had an issue with my insurance card not updated the dark skin receptionist ( might be sudanese as i could hear her speaking arabic) who was dealing with me did not try to look into the issue by contacting the insurrance provider to check if it was a system error or soever ( what normally other hospital receptionist would do) she was very rude , loud ,unprofessianal and did not had any customer service skills !!!!
i do not know if their receptionists undergo any special training before they actually represent and be a face of such a big hospital but the one that i delt with was definitly not patient oriented , she lacked that human touch when dealing with any patient as i could see her dealing with others the same unpolite way , her body language showed no respect to the person infront of her and looked sometimes angry and sometimes indifferent .
to end the horrible discussion with this receptionist we just decided to pay cash and see the doctor but still the same receptionist kept insisting and make us doubt our willingness to pay cash , while all we wanted is to see a doctor and make sure our babe is healthy as we didnt care about paying cash as our insurance will refund 100% of the amount .
after finally making her understand that we want to pay everything by cash she said " well up to you " and decided to let us proceed and asked us to wait more time to see the doctor .
at this point the only thing i was thinking of is how this doctor gonna be ! after what we endur with the receptionist and the amount of disapointment faced already , i couldnt take it anymore and was really afraid of what gonna happend next with the doctor . i just decided to run away and go find another hospital who actually know how to treat their patient keeping in mind that their patient are pregnant , have hormones ruching into their body already and do not need like this kind of receptionist to make them feel worst!!!!!.
i would really advice new moms to definitly avoid going to this hospital , but if they do (because i cant comment about their doctors as they might be really good ) just make sure to cut things short and dont interact with their receptionists ( not all but the sudaneese one ).response / report this review -

My wife had a very terrible experience giving birth to our first child in this hospital. I nearly lost my wife and child in that hospital. I only thank God then those few people who really did their job sincerely. Especially Dr. Razia Sharafudeen and her accompanying nurses then.
When labor began we directly went to hospital and since that moment each single experience was very painful for her and me.
During the long consultation journey with Dr. Besma Al Najdi O'Shea, she was assuring us that every thing is just good about mother and baby and she will have a natural birth. During delivery day, labor began at 5 am when we directly went to hospital and doctor was notified, staff replied to me that she will start work at 8:00 AM. They called back later to tell me she is not coming till 12:00 PM. She came at around 11:00 for few minutes to decided to go with epidural and she is going to break water and indeed that was done in the afternoon. She came back at around 3:30 PM with ultrasound device just to tell us that we have to wait till 9:00 PM then we can decide on operation or not !!
Doctor could have began with ultrasound before all of that and we could have began with an operation, but what happened is that we had to experience pain and anxiety for 14 hours waiting this cycle of trial and error to finish.
When asked to talk to doctor to inquire about the situation, staff told me she has left hospital !!!! that was the moment when I went crazy!! I mean a doctor has a patient in labor and under epidural and she just leaves home!!?? At that moment I was completely sure I was in the wrong hands and may lose my child and wife if I continue with this Doctor. I immediately asked for a second opinion about the situation and indeed that was what given to me. I was transferred to Dr. Razia Sharafudeen who gave us an active care till my wife gave a natural birth at around 2:00 AM next day after 21 hours of pain and anxiety.
Filled with sorrow and pain, I just wanted to share my experience here with future mothers and fathers that they may find it useful to decide for the best for their children.response / report this review -

I had a terrible experience in my life in this hospital.We tried for baby long time.We safe money for IVF and got sussexfull pregnancy.Decided to follow doctor Hannah at bright point hospital,and it was our biggest mistake.every week I was seeing her, and she was keep saying that everything ok.Baby is healthy.And when i reach 41 week my labour started. We went to hospital.They admit that labour stared.We had check from mid wife at duty.they transfer us to labour room.That's it.No one came to see us.Only nurse was keep monitoring ctg.and checking blood pressure.doctor Hannah and all other doctors was to busy to see me.even when i requested an epidural, anestesology doctor fixed without any check.Without knowing at which stage am I.Even mid wife at the duty was to busy celebrating some ones birthday.she even didn't came to introduce her self or ask how i feel that time.i wasnt aware who is mid wife?When i felt I wanna go to washroom I informed nurse.She tried to take me to toilet.Nurse who trained work at labour room was trying to take me to toilet.She didn't knew that it's baby coming.Same as me.Yes i dont knew it.it's my first baby.10 min she was trying to remove everything ftom,take me to toilet,but because of my epidural and catetre she coudnt then she called mid wife.that time my babies heard already dropped down in the ctg.Then they stared panicking.Doctor Hannah came after 15 min,when she came she make me deliver.But damage already been done.my baby was ready to came long time back and because cot was around her neck she strangle and because no one assist properly my baby born with asfiksia.She wasn't crying she wasnt breathing.She died next day at the nicu unit.Perfect healthy baby died.Within 3 to 4 hours during labour no one came to our room.No doctor no mid wife.Every one assume that we admitted to hospital at 6 am with 2 cm so I will deliver afternoon or evening.No one bother to check.I was 10 cm at 830.baby head was almost out.My baby suffer around 30 min.No one realise that I'm having very progressive labour.After we lost our baby I was out of my mind.I think every one can understand our pain.But hospital staff didn't.When my baby died in my hand at the nicu unit no one from hospital senior staff came to see us.No any doctor came to us,at least hug me or say any condolence support world.I wasn't able to stand after giving birth and after i lost my baby.but still i was at the nicu room so I can spend time with my baby.For 5 hours we was there.I was holding my baby body and crying for 5 hours.so i can remeber her smell.so at least i can hold her for last time.No one came.only staff who works there was doing there normal daily work.and of course some staff who stared deal with body transportation to the morgue.hospital admin or senior staff or director didn't even bother to came to see us.We tried to see hospital director. She was busy.So even I was bleeding i walk all the way to her office to see her.she made us wait in the corridor for 1hour.When we explain why we r here,she even wasn't aware.she wasn't informed.how came baby died in your hospital,you are not aware.And its doctor Anselma.she talked to us very cold and ignorant way.U can't be a director at the hospital if u don't know what's going on at the hospital.Even as the human being you can't ignore the mother who lost the child.After we left the hospital after all what I went throw no one bother to call me from hospital and just try to talk or just say some support world.We tried so many times to organise meeting with them.Every meeting we had to force to see us.they did investigation they didn't find any health issue with me or baby.they destroy the placenta straight away.So in the end after they finishef investigation they said that my baby died coz its her destiny.and they dont have an answer.we complaint to HAAD.now waiting for response.may be im wrong,may be it's really by destiny me baby didn't survive,but any way my opinion that I didn't get proper and professional care from hospital,which promise to us hight standard care.

Last month our baby was born here and we had such a great and memorable experience.
All the staffs are very caring and genuine professionals.Specail thanks to the entire Labor room crew and really wondered the personal service and caring that they are giving to to their customers.
Dr. Razia,a true asset of this hospital and we have no words to explain her personal,professional and caring approach.

Brightpoint is the hospital that has a genuine concern. We are beyond grateful for the help that we had received from them. We’ve been through a lot especially during my last weeks of pregnancy and even after the delivery, but Brightpoint was there for us. This is the hospital that caters everyone. So much thankful for Dr. Besma (the only doctor I had ever met who was like a mother yet so professional, so loving, so concerned), Nurse Sheryl, Ms. Hazel and all the staff who had assisted us from the very beginning. Most especially, we acknowledge the care and concern extended by Ms. Dolly. The treatment we had received from Brightpoint is so overwhelming. I am so proud that our first baby is a Brightpoint Baby. I would highly recommend this hospital to everyone! Again, thank you so much for playing a huge part to our starting family. This will forever be cherished!

They dont value your time
No point taking an appointment..
Even after taking appointment suddenly you get to know thy have cancelled or Dr. Not available
there is no coordination between the staff and they are rude..

My experience with Brightpoint Royal has been mostly positive. The doctors are excellent. However the operators who attend calls for appointments can be a quite brusque (bordering 'rude') and follow-up is rarely done in a timely manner. It's important that they take a leaf out of 'Old' NMC's book (NMC Specialty on Electra) in professionalism and manners when dealing with patients/customers.

First & definitely would be the last visit in this hospital - will never recommend this hospital to anyone.
Did the check-up with ultrasound and blood test but unfortunately they just called to inform that it's negative. I've tried calling the doctor to ask for explanation of the results as she was so sure that I'm having some cysts on the ovary but as soon as she found out that my insurance is not covered she just passed the phone to her nurse.
Some of their doctors especially in the OB-Gyne section really needs to know proper etiquette, professionalism and manners in dealing with their patients.
