If you're going to Benihana, you have to make sure you reserve a seat at the tepenyaki table.
The chefs are very entertaining, as is the entire dining experience. And the staff are kind and helpful.
And their food, of course, is great too! Good job to the entire team at Benihana for making my visit a memorable one :-)
The service we received from Jason and Rajni was A++++ lovely guys, they made our night. We were the last customers at 11:45pm and they didn’t rush us and were very attentive.
We later found out it was Jason our chefs birthday, he stayed back to give us a live show even though it was his birthday, and didn’t rush anything.
Thanks guys will recommend to all - made the evening memorable.
Benihana Dubai, Jumeirah Beach Resort: A Lovely Experience
Famous for its Sushi and Teppanyaki for the last 50 years or so Benihana has been a favorite for its live cooking islands and fine quality sushi. After visiting the one in Beirut, Passing by the Dubai location was a great comparative review. A wide restaurant, dimmed lights, an open kitchen and the teppanyaki grills with two high stools bar for experience dining. Happy people, smiles and laughs with chefs shouting and people applauding, the vibes are funny.
The good part of Benihana’s menu are the special menus on Wednesday’s, Saturday’s and happy hour times. All you can eat with or without alcohol. I personally preferred a-la-carte craving sushi tonight.
I like bar decor:
- High stools on the drinks bar under yellow lights pending from the ceiling.
- Another bar facing the open kitchen.
- Two teppanyaki bars where chefs cook your food in front of your eyes with style.
- Light wood, square tables, relaxing chairs.
- Columns covered with white wood.
Great food is served here:
- Crunchy edamame served hot and sprinkled with sea salt.
- Crunchy spring rolls served on a black plate with a side sauce. The rolls hide a heart of crunchy and tasty vegetables for in fingers.
- Exceptional sushi rolls! I loved the quality, the softness, the rice texture, the flavors, the mayonnaise and sauces, the spiciness and made of ingredients. Yummy indeed!
- Everything is just great; the quality of rice, the salmon taste and texture, the finesse and passion poured in every roll.
- The Temakis are a spot on!
- And I screamed: “comme c’est bon!”. The raw salmon sake marinated in its juice is the best item I’ve had tonight. Oh My Goodness, it’s breathtaking!
Superb food, amazing service! So happy to have dined at Benihana tonight. Chris is an excellent waiter.
Sashimi and salads were very tasty, while sushi was just normal, nothing extraordinary. We also ordered lemon and mint juice and were disappointed as it was diluted compare to other places in Dubai.
Good food and good service
This place used to be one of the best in Dubai a few years ago. Steaks and sushi were amazing. But now, everything has changed. If you want a steak, you should be prepared to get small sliced pieces of meat instead of a proper piece of steak. We didn't even get a knife&fork with the steaks, so we had to eat with chopsticks. Food portions became much smaller, yet prices have increased unreasonably. Very unsatisfied with this restaurant, such a big negative change.
Amazing dinning experience, excellent food and service. It's our favorite family Japanese resturant to enjoy teppanyaki and sushi. friendly and warm ambiance
Food was great service was excellent and the staff were amazing but what let the place down was the tepenyaki table was really hot and uncomfartable to sit around when it was mentioned to the staff their they said it is because of the cooking table in front of us maybe you can lower the temperature around that area perhaps a thought otherwise it was great to see the live cooking and the chef was great .
Excellent service and great food, thank you Ravena for the good welcoming and hospitality.
expensive but it worth it , less expensive the choice of buffet
Great food, great service, great entertainment!
Service wasnt great. Very pushy waiters trying to get you to order expensive wines. Food was ok. Very expensive wine list starting at aed 300 for some below average wine!
Went during a theme night which had live cooking station. The staff are extremely friendly, very supportive and extremely funny. No matter what they will make sure to put a smile on your faces and get you to also engage with the other guests seated around the table.
Once you've seen a Banihana, you've seen them all. I still love their live cooking teppanyaki night. Makes for great entertainment over dinner specially if you have guests in town.
