Had a trip with Alexandra yesterday. Deserve 5 stars by meeting all the promises. The ambiance, welcoming, food singer and the dance .. all deserve 5 stars individually. Food was a fusion of Arabic, Indian and English which will make all kinds of visitors happy. Cruise was very well maintained, clean and ambiance. Special thanks for Prajul and Noushad for the arrangements and guidance through out.

This is the most honest review you could read out here. To start with,

    1) Cost: This is priced competitively right when being compared with other Dhow Cruise Service Providers.

    2) Professionalism:

On placing order, you will receive an introductory e-mail guiding you with all the required information such as location, contact nos., directions, do's & dont's, parking areas etc.

On reaching at location, you would be received by the Team & will be directed to the Cruise. You would never get lost at any cost. I bet !

For any clarifications, you have Miss Victoria to guide you with the reservations over the call & Mr. Prajul, the Deck Manager to support you at the Cruise. Both are truly Professional.

    3) Cruise: it is beautifully lit both outside & inside. The Cruise looks clean & beautiful.

Unlike any other Cruises out there, you are welcomed individually at the entrance of the Cruise which surely makes one special when you enter.

    4) Reservation of Seats: Its based on a First Come First Serve basis. You cant complain if you cant come early & get the upper deck.

    5) Hospitality: The staffs were helpful & kind.

    6) Entertainment: There were two shows, one was the Arabic Cultural Dancer & the other was the Singer. Both events were awesome to make the night even more delightful.

    7) Punctuality: The time was maintained as per what was promised.

    8) Food: It was good. Not great & not bad, it was good. For the price that you pay, it is acceptable.

    9) Photos: We had a tough time getting good photos from our Cameras due to light conditions. That is when one of the Staff Photographers came to each individual tables & captured beautiful moments. Please note that if you wish to get these photos as part of their Souvenir, you would need to pay which is not priced high at all. All good things comes with a price. :)

As a whole, i would rate the entire service as Excellent ! :)

The hospitality is outstanding. From the moment you enter the ship you are treated as a valued guest. They could not have done more to ensure our comfort. The food is average and not warm enough, but then expecting more than that on a cruise ship is probably too much. They pack a lot into the time (about 90 minutes overall). We were not able to reach on time (due to ending up with a Taxi driver that did not know the way to the Cruise terminal). They were kind enough to accommodate us on a different night. The views of the Dubai City skyline are outstanding. The weather was cool and breezy. The cruise itself was pretty smooth. My mom gets very sea sick on boats. She did not have to worry at all as the entire cruise was quite calm as they dont go out on the open ocean. Would recommend highly.

Cruise started late by over 30 minutes. Best view was from front side of the upper deck. View from front seats (upper deck) were amazing. Food is just okay. Nothing to complain though. Tanura dance performance was the best part. They also facilitate birthday celebrations. They charge little over 100 AED for the photographs that they click during the cruise. Pick up is in car but our drop was in bus and hence our drop was pretty delayed as our hotel was last on the route. Reached by 12:30 approximately. This affected us because we had plans for early morning next day.

I was planning a visit to a dhow cruise and I ended up finding this mainly because of the multiple reviews that were present. It was a good thing I booked on this cruise.
The weather in November starts to be really cool in Dubai, and in this cruise you can come at approximately 8ish. you can sit at the marina and wait for the cruise. And you would be going on the boat and sitting.
The service is really good and they take care and insure that everyone is served during the whole trip. Even the washrooms were really nice and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed it and had a fantastic experience. Thoroughly recommended.
If you have never been on a dhow cruise, make sure this is one of the first ones.

We went to this cruise on my wife's birthday. The cruise is very nice and staff was very courteous. The Manager of the cruise Mr. Prajul is very friendly and caring. He gave us complimentary cake and announced my wife's birthday and cheered. It was lovely experience my kinds enjoyed a lot. The food was great, a good range of appetizers, main course meals were delicious. I liked lemon, butter fish more than anything else. It is definitely value for money and I will recommend this cruise whoever want to enjoy good food, music and hospitality.

We were a tad disappointed in this one. We bought it from their agent at our hotel and made our own way using his map and directions and a taxi. They are wrong! Not a problem if you take the transfer I guess. The location we were sent to was occupied by three other boats with the same firm and they sent us a long walk to where the boat really was (it was 44C and we were wearing longs!).

The tables were cramped, the buffet was OK and the dinner does not include beers - they are extra and quite expensive compared to elsewhere in Dubai. Oh and not that cold. We were shoved up with some other people to fill the table and felt very cramped. After the food there was some singing and a dancer then we were released to go outside, on the top deck to see the marina as we passed by. This was the best bit.

It was a bit too "Pontins" and not really the level we expected so wouldn't bother again.

Visited the boat in May and was quite hot already. Was a little bit tight on the lower A/C deck but over all very decent experience. The boat is clean, the manager Prajul is very friendly and took care of us well.

I have not visited other cruises to compare Alexandra but my personal opinion is following

View was great especially from the upper deck.
    5/5

Ship felt a little old and not much like the pictures, lower deck did not have an aisle like the one shown in pictures on website. Toilet was just usable.
    2.5/5

Tanura performer did put in good effort there. However not awe inspiring. You may like it depending on your taste.
    2.5/5

Food was definitely not worth the price. It included a total of only 1 juice, 1 chicken dish and a couple of simple dishes to fill the menu. Not a strong buffet if you are really looking for a buffet you would find in restaurants. After 50minutes of start food was almost exhausted( though most people had eaten full by then).
    1/5

Overall experience was nice but considering the price I am not really sure if the experience was worth 160aed per person. If you are on a budget as a tourist consider visiting Abu dhabi grand mosque, global village or miracle garden as a first priority which would be far more value for money.

The dancer is really entertaining. We are at the upper deck and I feel bad for people who is in the lower deck they couldn't watch the show. If you want the upper deck I would suggest that you arrive 30-40 mins before boarding time.

    3/5 - Experience was okay.
4/5 - The Singer is good and the Dancer is unbelievable.
    4/5 - Food is good.
1/5 Toilet is always occupied :(

I had a wonderful time on the dinner cruise here. The staff was very helpful and friendly and made sure that we arrived on time. We were seated downstairs on a great table, and there was plenty of food, even with the boat being almost full. The food itself was nice as well. Overall I think the trip is certainly worth the relatively low price.
