Welcoming place! A good spot for a walk in the nature during winter/spring time. We have been in mid of April when the weather is getting picked up and It is recommended to carry water with you. The staff briefed us and offered water and a printed guide. There are two paths, one if 3 km that takes you to flamingos and one 1,5 km to observe reptiles and other birds. We went for the flamingos as we are not huge fans of lizards & stuff. Quite a nice view! We’ve been informed that are around 2000 flamingos. It is well done, nice spots with greenery, fresh air and even few boogies if you need ride on the come back.
Worth a visit.
In early April there weren't 5,000 flamingos by far. We walked the longer route (around 45 minutes) and didn't see much things. However the walk is great and refreshing and if you've got a way around, it's worth stopping.
Second Visit. Loved It ♡
Last entry is at 2 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays only.
Must take enough water n snacks for a 2 hour hike.
It's better to make a morning visit to watch the Flamingos.
Fom NOV 2017 lot of white birds migrated from cool contires.
Lake become coloful
Last entry 2 PM Everyday
Now lake looks dry and white color
After few day can see different birds from across continents
a fun walk around but be mindful that it's quite exposed to the sun, there are shelters along the way but you might want to take a sunbrella if you have little ones. No food and drink sold as of Jan 2017 but there are toilets and parking. Give it a try for sure!
Quite unique place in UAE. You can see flamingo through a small window
