Nice personal everywhere, but the air conditioning was defect and the restaurant had 1/3 of the menu actually available (we got used to make jokes about it). Full of Russians, for some reason (even Russian TV in the restaurant). Breakfast ok, the status of the rooms is a bit "3 stars" but the prices too, so I cannot complain on that.

We booked a "Deluxe Queen" Room at Al Hamra Hotel. Sounds great. But the room was a normal room with a bed and table with a window with a "deluxe" view directly facing a wall.
We were not able to open the curtains without get seen by people from the other building and additional to that there was only dimmed light in the room. The window which was not used as window was probably the reason for the strong moldy smell. Fresh air didn´t enter the room.
Not only the air wasn´t clean. In the bathroom we found hairs of someone else and even clothes.
The room itself was designed and equipped well. A desk, a mirror and a water boiler were available. The acoustic in the hotel was good, because we didn´t hear the other guests.
To the rest of the hotel, we can't say something because we didn´t take breakfast and not seen the rooftop pool.
If we would recommend the hotel? Yes, if You only need a cheap room to sleep, close by Dubai.response / report this review -

Location is great. Staff is amazing will help in anything you need. Food was OK only . Really good value for money . parking is a headache because of the hotel's limited parking space.I really can recommend this place to everyone who is looking for quiet and friendly place to stay for a vacation!!

Good hotel for low budget trips. I stayed for five nights and I can say that it's one of the good hotels that I've been to. A bit old but still better than lots of new hotels out there. The room was wide and fully equipped with anything I might need. From ironing to toothbrush. Mr. Hijaz the bell boy is a good friend and very helpful. The front desk were also very helpful and nice. If there was anything I didn't like about it, with that kind of care and help, they made it meaningless to me. Thank you and will definitely come back to you later.
