Al Ain International Airport (IATA: AAN, ICAO: OMAL) (Arabic: مطار العين الدولي‎; transliterated: Matar al-Ayn Al-Dowaly) is an airport located 8 nautical miles (15 km; 9.2 mi) west north west[1] of Al Ain, United Arab Emirates. It was opened on 31 March 1994. 14 flights and 4,000 passenger pass through the airport each week.[2] It is the fifth busiest airport in UAE[citation needed].

Small Airport and well managed by government. International flights to only few countries.

Al Ain airport is a very well managed airport where all the handling services are very prompt and effective. Air Traffic Control and briefing including Weather briefing is very good.
The Airport houses UAE Air Force Training Academy and has decent amount of flying. The business of this airport has been increasing ever since it’s operationalisation.
The duty free shop here is basic and has got good perfumes,liquor and chocolates. Lounges are basic but clean and user friendly.response / report this review -

Sat on tarmac for hours waiting for extremly ineficient airport to re-fuel and get us out. Hours and hours wasted.
