Prophetic morning too you. Today we are focusing on the words that Jesus spoke to his first disciples & from there learn a few truths & kingdom principles. Matthew 4:19 etc. - Matthew 4:18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Our main focus is on the phrase; "follow me and l will mak...e you...." While on earth Jesus Christ attracted all sorts of people to his ministry. You hear of multitudes first then you hear of disciples & lastly we hear of his apostles. Many are called but a few are chosen....Ephesians 4 says he gave or chose some to apostles, some prophets, some evangelists...Notice it's some not all. The journey to apostleship started while one is in the multitude, then one moves a step further to be a true follower, a disciple before becoming an apostle. That brings us to the issue of following Jesus. Jesus said follow me. Many fail on following stage & fail to become what God intended them to be. Great leaders are great followers. The test of leadership is usually on whether you can follow; ability to learn, to take instructions, to observe & jublicate your leader. And if you are a leader you must have followers. A person without followers is not leading but just taking a walk. Followers will follow to the extend their leader follows those who lead them. Leaders begat leaders. Disciples of Jesus received double of what the multitude received. So we do the following while God do ' the making' If you can't follow the maker, he wont make you into his greatest. The making of a great leader, great apostle, great prophet, great husband, great teach starts at the following stage, then one graduates to being a disciple, from disciple to your destined purpose. Elisha was a great follower, a great leader who followed his Elijah but he did not have a good disciple, Gehazi. Bad followers receive no impartation, kill destiny & hinder the flow of the anointing.
