The Nyamazuwe High School was designed and built by Barnie A. Higgs, with the help of villagers. He was a Methodist missionary engineer who taught building trades and created the small dam and gardens in the area along the spring near the school.

It is a nice school that is well furnished and maintained to keep on par with boarding mission school standards. The students a well disciplined and excel in sports and academics in the province. Their diet is balanced and the school has a Christian background.
