  The CHURCH of CHRIST was established by JESUS. He said in MATTHEW 16:18 Upon this ROCK(the truth) I will build my CHURCH and the Gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. Colossians1:18 He is the head of the BODY the CHURCH ... EPHESIANS 5:23 As the husband is the Head of the Wife, CHRIST is the head of the
  CHURCH. We have no other Authority except the Bible and we have no EARTHLY HEAD of the CHURCH. Even the name is found in the *BIBLE*, The church of CHRIST Greets you. ROMANS 16:16. We are only called CHRISTIANS "They were first called Christians in Antioch ACTS 11:26. We follow the pattern of the CHURCH of the first CENTURY, such as ACTS 20:7 On the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK(Sunday), when the disciples came together for the BREAKING of the BREAD (COMMUNION). Giving I CORINTHIANS 16:2 On the First Day of the Week let each one of you lLAY something aside(GIVING). As well, as Praying, Singing Ephesians 5:19 (Speaking to one another in songs, hymns and spiritual songs making MELODY in your HEARTS), preaching etc. We follow the New Testament doctrine teaching). There are Churches of Christ worldwide. It was started in Jerusalem by CHRIST and the APOSTLES carried out His commandment "Go into all the world.. MARK 16:15-16.
