One star only because it’s the minimum in order to place a review. Zero is the preferred figure. Arrogant, smart Alec staff that actually know very little and almost smirk as they endeavour to not help you or put a spanner in your request/ query. Most people entering an istore are there for guidance/ advice but if that is what you require rather give this place a massive miss. Their aloof and dismissive attitude will leave you gobsmacked. Somebody must tell them that they are in the service business. This useless smart alec service has happened to me twice in the last two months at this place. Try Canal Walk branch rather.

Apple products are one of a kind but the service here is terrible. You guys never answer the phone. What is the point of having a phone if you are not going to answer it????????

You don't even deserve the star I just gave you.

NO STAR YOU DON"T DESERVE ANY. I don't think anyone actually understands what it is to serve a customer. They never answer the phone and the staff have a very very basic knowledge of the products. This is pathetic for Apple to have this as a customer experience. I am disappointed that nobody within the business is taking the customers seriously. I am sure if we had an option we would not shop at the iStore

If i could give half a star or 0 star I would.
    Telephone contact number simply rings!

The Assistant branch manager Chris is simply arrogant and supplies incorrect information. He argued with my wife over the colour of the phone when next door at Vodacom they had the iPhone and we proved him wrong.

He also recently bluntly refused to refused to handle a return on a new product. (1 month old) citing it as corrosion. I took my business to Canal Walk and they swapped it no problems!

Take your business elsewhere you will get better service.

    SHOCKING!

What’s the point of having a number if you don’t answer. Looking at previous reviews everybody is complaining about it but it still doesn’t help. Clearly something is wrong here. Guys it’s called being reactive. Proactive is better but if you can’t even react to problems how will you ever survive as a business 🙈

istores are in no way affiliated with apple. So I now buy everything Apple in America at the Santa Rosa plaza. istores sell identical products at a higher price with no after sale services. Not worth the time.

The phone rings and rings! So incredibly frustrating. I have a simple question which only they can answer this means I must drive 20mins to the Waterfront store, pay a fortune for parking, and then possibly the person I need to speak to won't be there.

Second time now I've had a shocking experience at this iStore. They never return a call and the person that you need to deal with is never there. No one answers the phone!

I have never had a good experience at the Waterfront iStore. Firstly, try calling the number on this listing on Google, it just rings and rings, no message service or answer. Secondly, I went into the store about 4 weeks ago to look at purchasing a Navdy System and I believe I spoke to a Chris (might have his name wrong) who had very little knowledge of this system to start with. He then told me that the manager was on leave and was testing the facility in his own car and when the manager returned to work the following Tues/Wed he would get the manager to call me and tell me what he thinks of Navdy. he even wrote my name down in his little black book. It is now 3/4 weeks later and still no one word from anyone from the iStore. This is not a cheap item and you would think they would be all over me to make the sale but instead dead silence. Just really bad service dragging Apple's name down. Sigh!

The service at this store is pathetic!! The staff speak to their clients in a condescending manner. Don't bother asking them for help if there's an item you would like to purchase. The information they provide is extremely vague. I have purchased 3 items at this store and on each occasion the service was pathetic! Today I was about to purchase another item, but the service was no different as to all the other times I've been here. I'm sorry. You are not seeing me again.

Please take note that this is not a real Apple Store, they are only "Authorized Retailers" operated by the Core Group they are only authorized to sell Apple products and do not have the depth of knowledge you expect at a real Apple Store and although it may look like any other Apple Store in the world just realize that it is not that. Because of this you will also not get all the support you would get in the U.S or UK like Apple I.D support, exchange and repair programs for faults and don't mistake the iCare program for Apple care they are completely different things. iCare which is offered by the iStore only provides insurance against damages. My MacBooks screen is on the edge of falling off after a repair and it just shows the lack of knowledge they have in repairing them and the "Genius Bar" is not like the one you would find at Apple stores overseas, they might be trained technicians but they were not trained by Apple the company. The authentic Apple Care program provides you with telephonic support, insurance against damages and usually lasts far longer than the iStores plan. I can only hope that Apple opens a store in our country but until then if you are considering buying a Phone get a high end Samsung instead of an iPhone ( I am an apple user though) because of their amazing technical support and free accidental damage coverage (you won't have to add an extra R1300 for iCare) due to the fact that they do have a base in South Africa and don't just have "Authorized Dealers".

Apple products are great, but service here is terrible. Next to impossible to get the most basic after sales service, like getting an invoice sent to me.
