Great spot in the Reserve. Probably time for an upgrade but still clean and comfortable

Good old fashioned parks board accommodation, spotlessly clean and well appointed cottages. Very
Comfortable. Better value for money than Hilltop in my opinion. Also better game spotting , but get up early.

Really great place to stay. The views are breathtaking, the animals came right to your doorstep (be careful!).

One of South Africa’s gems, Mpila camp was better than Hilltop for us as it was not so busy. Quality game viewing.

Fantastic views overlooking the park. Animals wander around the accommodation, which makes for a very intimate experience with the local wildlife. The accommodation itself is fairly simple, but comfortable.

Basic facilities here at around a 3 star level but fair value for the price. Staying here means you can get off early to or leave late from the Sontuli Loop road which delivers some of the best game viewing in Imfolozi for all of the big 5.
Definitely request a guided 2 hour walk on foot, this park has the world's highest density of Rhino and a special experience to walk on their territorial trails to experience it without being in a car.

As a "Vaalie" I only knew "the kruger", but this place (though 2 hours further from PTA) is a gem and a must see. Two nights was too few and next time we will do a 3-day walk with our luggage being carried by donkeys.
