Long dirt road not ideal for small cars, accommodation was pretty expensive for what is offered. Beach and dunes are quite beautiful, bit there are other locations nearby with easier access to similar beauty (Riet River for example).
Wifi only on reception area, has power problems when raining (we had power for 15 minutes during our stay), and no credit card machine (take cash). Otherwise the staff was reasonably receptive and tried to accommodate for the inconveniences. Still it was a poor experience.
Been there a few times to the venue for Earthdance and its been great every time. One of my favorite and most beautiful venues. Awesome beach, forest trail and landscape views.
The lodge is underwhelming, good place for camping though. If you don't have great company, you may not enjoy your time. There is a booking route available, and it's a walking distance to the beach.
Don't make the mistake of booking at Woody Cape Eco lodge this is not the Sanparks Woody Cape. Reception area dirty, pool and grounds unkept, rooms smelled of dogs. Unprofessional staff members. Run Forest run! Sorry to say Che if you call this (photos up to stander
d we deftly a third world country for hour oversee visitors i am South African and i will never return to this commendation) Just for your information we did not even stay one night and the reception told us sorry you gone lose your deposit. THAT WE NEVER GOT BACK. Even if you are backpackers you want clean accommodation.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
great beach adjacent to the place accessible only via a permit issued by woody cape backpackers. really cozy bar at the place with nice bartenders and waiters, really hearty and chatty people, however, the chalet
s themselves and the whole accommodation is run down and needs complete restoration. WiFi only available in the main building. food in the on place restaurant was OK, but not spectacular. nevertheless, if you want to see one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, you must come to this place! greetings to the nice crew!
Nice Place for hiking but is not allowed to go to the Pinguin Reservat
Very cheap and a nice place with walking access to a beach. Not enough trees for camping and very dirty ablutions and not enough ablutions for amount of campers and chalets. Dishwashing area was dirty as hell with previous days dishes piled high. Flies everywhere due to surrounding cattle farms. Nice bar and cheap enough for overnight.
Absolutely great. Wonderful setting, friendly staff, cold beer, and access to the most beautiful beach imaginable.
