  Shereen Michelle Hunter – CEO, Hunter Group Business Type: Professional & Business Services, Woman of Stature ‘Woman of the Year 2018’ Finalist: Entrepreneur of the Year

  Shereen Hunter is the CEO and founder of the Hunter Group. Beyond and before business, she is a mother, wife, sister and ardent learner. She is fanatical about knowledge, both attaining and imparting it. Shereen has an insatiable appetite to do and learn more. She also believes that education and knowledge are the most valuable tools an individual can have to find sustainable success.

  Teaching has been her lifelong dream. To equip and empower those around her, willing to accept the invitation.

  Today, through the Hunter Group, Shereen sees the realisation of bringing together education, business and people.

  More about Shereen:-

  The journey here began as early as 1993, where a tenacious 18 year old Shereen Hunter set off to Australia solo, as a Rotary Exchange Student. In that same year she represented South Africa at the United Nations Youth Conference in Brisbane.

  Between her stay in Australia, numerous other travels and completion of her secondary education, Shereen was offered a scholarship to attend Queensland University. She declined the prestigious offer, opting to return to her roots in Johannesburg instead. Here, she decided to pursue undergraduate law.

  In her third year, she changed course and took up Psychology, feeling that this would be better suited for her ambitions to service people in business through education and organisational development.

  She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a degree majoring in Industrial Psychology and International Relations. In between she obtained a Diploma in Sales & Marketing Management and Project Management. Thereafter, she spent three years at a well renowned Bible School studying Biblical Principals and Their Application.

  With a decade of tertiary education in tow, Shereen entered the business world. She completed the rest of her studies whilst permanently employed, working for corporate companies such as Oreport, International Health & Racquet Club (now Virgin Active) Regional Head Office, Future Life Insurance, Bidvest, CN Business Furniture, CFC International and Women of Worth. Her career took her swiftly after only 1 year as a Sales Consultant to National Marketing Manager at age 23, to Regional Sales Manager to Directorship and finally to where she finds herself now - the owner of several companies.

  She believes that a successful fruitful business career is simply the vehicle she uses to achieve her greatest ambitions in Community Work.

  Shereen is also the Founding Member of Its Not About Me' - a non-profit project and movement.

  Meet our Member of the Month: Rosa Van Niekerk

  My name is Rosa van Niekerk. I am a daughter of the King, happy, brave and strong.

  I was born in Keetmanshoop, Namibia, and later moved to Upington in South Africa, where I matriculated at Hoӫrskool Duineveld in 1994. I went on to study law at the University of The Free State and obtained my B.Prok Degree in 2000. I am currently the sole proprietor of a medium sized law firm in Westonaria called Rosa Van Niekerk Attorneys. This i...s a general practice, where we do both civil and criminal litigation, family law and debt collections.

  Because I previously experienced both physical and emotional abuse, I have a passion for family law, maintenance and divorces. With an Italian Mother and an Afrikaans father, my temperament is perfectly for a Court / Litigation attorney.

  During 2017 I was invited by the Law Society of the Northern Provinces to attend the training course to become an aspirant candidate Judge for the High and Appeal Court. I completed the training successfully and I am now blessed to be part of a few attorneys that has this title.

  I currently live with my husband, Jacobus and my two daughters Rosa (12) and Isabelle (9) in Westonaria. I am very passionate about horse riding and both myself and my daughter compete in Western riding.

  During 2016, my life took a drastic turn when I had a big fall with my horse, Saffier. Being in forced bed rest, a new dream was born, Worthy Women Makeup. Worthy Woman Make-up is not only a make-up company but a vessel to spread my God given message of Crown up. Worthy Woman Make-up specialised in make-up make overs including pageant make-up, bridal make-up and giving one of one lessons and corporate make-up. My passion for the make-up work led me into the world of pageants.

  I entered the Mrs Grand South Africa pageant and by the Grace of God I won, despite having any previous experience in modelling and pageantry. By winning the title of Mrs Grand South Africa, and Mrs Classic South Africa, I was entered into the Mrs Classic Universe pageant in Bulgaria in January 2018. I was humbled and blessed to win the title for South Africa and currently hold the Title of Mrs Classic Universe 2018.

  After winning this title, I had a clear dream to create Rosa Van Niekerk pageant academy. Rosa van Niekerk Pageant Academy was born. We provide training in Ramp Skills, Pageant Preparation, Make-up and Hair, Health and Fitness, Manners and Etiquette, Photographic modelling, Public Speaking, Posture, Self Confidence and many more. Helping others to realize their full potential actually helps me grow as a person.

  I am currently involved in several charity works at Nalibali Book Club for under privilege children, Rotara School for Disable children, Epic Foundation for Rape and abused woman.

  I life by my motto Get up, Pray up, Crown up and Rise up.
