Fantastic morning experience, should you find yourself awake early on a Saturday without a hangover. Food stalls are pretty food. The best thing about this market are the few stalls that pop up rarely. Home made goodies that steal your attention, entrepreneurial chocolatiers with products that smack you with some umami goodness (I haven't seen u guys again and that birthday cake flavoured chocolate is breaking my heart) just try it out? It's an hour out of your morning and a breakfast treat 😋
Market is open on Saturday mornings until about 2pm. Variety of stalls selling cakes, curries, samosas, plants, honey, veggies etc
Good location. Can do your grocery and other shopping, and also visit the market at the same time.
Best of open market atmosphere and great produce.
I enjoy going to this market for the various options of food.
Wonderful fresg produce, butter, cheese and banting bread and roĺls.
Nice vibe and consistent stall holders where we get our veggies and meat.
Always nice to visit. Wide variety of stuff to buy.
Good variation at high quality by dedicated craft-people. Support our locally made produce.
Love this market, every Saturday.
Never had Curry and Beer for breakfast before. A great market and will visit again when I am next in Capetown
Fantastic foodstuffs here. Good quality and organic. There is a guy selling natural, raw honey for cheap, as well as another selling organic coffee capsules(Nespresso compatible) for about R5 a capsule. Alkso my favourite, is the gentleman selling herbs and vines.
Pros:
Good selection of food items.
Most of the vendors have Snapscan.
Cons:
Prices are sometimes a bit steep.
