Umtali Country Inn in Aliwal North is a very nice place that one can come and enjoy with spacious rooms! You can access easily the hot springs swimming pools nearby.

We have been coming here since 2004 and we have hevent ever had a bad experience. The owner is very friendly and will do what ever he can to make your stay as comfortable as possisble. The rooms are very cosy and the beds are very comfortable. The rest of the staff are also very friendly. The food is very good and the presentation is attractive. There is a bar in the main building that is well stocked.

Tv's in room were really old. Bed was king size and large but reasonably uncomfortable! Overall not a bad place! Well looked after.

The Umtali Inn is nice especially in an isolated area like Aliwal North. The best you can get around here.

Had a lovely stay, lovely staff willing to go to any lengths to keep guests happy. Pleasant atmosphere and so peaceful. I felt safe knowing that access to the premises after 9pm is controlled by security. Thank you Umtali, I hope to visit again!
