  Visited here for our wedding anniversary. Floor managers attentive without being intrusive. Our waiter was good, but as things became a little more busy, we did revert to using one of the floor managers to assist.
  
  We both has the focaccio with garlic and herbs. Delish - light and fresh. Then we both had snails - so well cooked. None of that rubber posing as snails.
  
  For mains, my hubby had the 300g sirloin with side salad. His sauce of choice to accompany the sirloin was herb sauce, which he found very full of mint - but he enjoyed it.
  
  I had the calamari with rice and lemon butter sauce. The calamari was beautifully cooked, but I found the lemon butter sauce a little too buttery and not lemony enough - so asked for extra lemon.
  
  Overall a lovely evening that left both of us feeling full to capacity. Busy, but nice ambiance.

  Nice atmosphere and well mannered staff. However, always end up disappointed with something. Worst experience was yesterday where we ordered Potjie and it was more a gravy-like soup with a few potatoes, bony lamb and beans... They also do not take consideration to the needs of those with mobility problems, the setup made my grandfather (aged 96) who needs extra support dance around chairs to get out. Do not even bother asking to take your left overs home, my entire family who did ended up with items missing from the doggie-bags. At that price it seemed a bit of a rip-off with the food side. The only reason that makes the place a bit more preferable is the staff.

  Steak is alright. Not my favourite cuts of meat from any of the Turn n Tenders. I find the beef ribs also usually a bit threadbare.
  
  Atmosphere and ambience at the Illovo branch is nice and warm.
