Chalets are extremely comfortable with an air conditioner in each sleeping room. Your basic sport channels, a movie channel and SABC 1 to SABC 3 is available on the television . There is a big cold water pool and a cold water pool for children. There is a big warm water pool and a arithmetic swimming pool. There is a hiking trail to the top of the mountain, the trail contains many scenic views of the surrounding areas and the view at the top is worth the hike. There is a restaurant in the resort as well as an convenience store that contains most products.

The resort ground is mostly green with numerous trees. There are a few tennis courts as well. There are a few conference centres as well. The grounds around the big cold water pool is green with numerous trees around the pool to provide shade during the day.

Staff are very friendly and will assist you with anything they can. I cannot deliver comment on the camping grounds as I was not there.

There are a lot of monkeys and mongooses, so closing your chalets and cars are mandatory.

The days are normally hot and nights are still uncomfortably warm as well.

One of the best place to go with your loved ones, friends, family or group of friends, you can enjoy the nature, good cottages and accommodations, can go camping, hiking, grill your favorite food outdoors, swim on their warm pools with natural warm water coming from volcano and be healed with their special warm bath pools. There is also souvenir and convenient shops for your needs.

It is a nice place for a holiday retreat.. however there is still a little of the racism spirit. Which is very Sad 😐 because you go there to have fun.. as for services. Us amazing I certainly can not complain. They also try to bring entertainment by playing games and fun things which keeps you busy during the day. Take note, the racism part is not from the management but from the visitors.

I have been coming to Tshipise for over 30 years with family and friends so I know the place very well.
I decided to take my daughter and family for the weekend as it was our school half term.
On arrival, I was told that the Rheumatic swimming pool was not available as it was being re-tiled. I accepted this but when booking, this should have been pointed out!
We cooked in the kitchen and were over-run by cockroaches! We killed over 60 whilst just cooking dinner! Watching T.V. was a nightmare as the roaches were all over the place - not shy - even running over your feet!
Having small children in their camp cots wasn't even safe. I understand the odd few but this was a nightmare!
I reported the matter the following day and they must have done something - because what we saw during the evening was minimal plus a can of spray was given to us. Surely, when housekeeping are cleaning the rooms they notice these things!
The bedside lights didn't work - was reported and fixed but why the rooms are not checked is beyond me!
The pools were a nightmare with various sizes of tubes bobbing around with no one using them - have people no manners any more.
People with their cooler boxes - such fun throwing beer over their friends who then dive into the pool to wash off. All this in front of the security guard who was socialising with the said guests. The brochure says appropriate swim wear - this rule needs to be enforced.
To then top our day, the music - if you can call it that - carried on until 1.30
in the morning, then started up again at 7. Your pamphlets state no loud noise after 10! Security or management were absent!
Oh and did I mention the said closed pool was actually available but to late for we only found out when we were leaving.
This resort is not cheap by any means but people are prepared to pay for the pools , the peace and quiet and the ammenities that are on offer.
    Sadly this is no more.
A most expensive and very disappointing weekend.

Relaxing and peaceful. Campers are friendly and helpful. The swimming pools are a plus, especially the ones feded by natural hot spring water. The terrain is large but well maintained.

We booked 4 nights over New Year Eve 16/17. My compliments with regards to the chalets and shop. HOWEVER, WE WERE TOTALLY DISGUSTED WITH THE CONDITION OF THE NATURAL SPRING AS WELL AS THE RHEUMATIC POOL. Cleaners swept dirt and dust into the rheumatic pool. The rheumatic pool was disgustingly dirty with all types of "i do not know what" laying on the pool floor. Will not recommend this place.
