Attended the Getaway show at the Ticket Pro dome. Had a great time, place is well managed and saw a wide variety of outdoor stalls. Also had a wide variety of food and drink stalls, would highly recommend.
Always a pleasure coming here. They have some superb events during the year. Parking is always accessible and the events here are constantly changing. Something for everyone. Its one of the best places to go see bands live too, as the sound is fantastic.
Great events venue. Watched a lot of great artists perform here. Big open centre with or without seating. The setup depends entirely on who is performing or the type of event. Was recently there for Tom Misch's act. Amazing!!!!
It's a great place to have fun. There aren't seats so if you have bad knees or back, you might wanna sit it out. The venue is great but obviously the performances are what's important. Excellent acoustics though. Everything sounds nice and crisp. Had an incident with a security guard, whi was mistreating someone. They need to their guards checked. But all of them were actually sweet and helpful but one idiot
This facility is excellent. No faults really, but the reason for the missing star is the road/ parking infrastructure surrounding the facility which is in dire need of restructuring (not old, just poorly planned). And this is The Dome's problem. Upon entering, traffic is poorly controlled. Management should engage with the municipality to improving intersections (add circles, traffic lights, one ways, etc.). There are no traffic lights, meaning no priority arrows when crossing traffic to Dome entrances. So traffic builds up quite significantly affecting non-Dome traffic as well. This facility is so massive that traffic will obviously increase during an event. Even when you are in the parking area, the situation is bad (i.e. one lane to enter and one lane to exit multiple parking areas). What's worse is that you may need to park quite far from the facilities entrance, however, there are no undercover walkways to reach the facilities, meaning, bring your umbrella on rainy days, or pack that sunscreen for your hike to the entrance. Consider malls or other popular locations that experience a random influx on specific days, you'll find that traffic is handled much better, most have undercover parking, or at least undercover walk ways. It really goes a long way in ones overall experience, especially at such a significant location. After your event, give yourself about 30 minutes to get out of the Dome's parking area, and good luck in navigating traffic in the immediate surrounding area.
Great place for events. I attended homex there and it was wonderful. Ample parking easy access to bathrooms with amazing variety of stands all different companies displaying their products.
Large event space often used for concerts and conventions.
Some tips when it comes to parking, with concerts park closer to the exit rather than close to the dome entrance, that way you don't sit in traffic for an hour to get out.
For conventions, go on Sunday afternoons if possible, it's usually much quieter and stall holders are willing to give special discount on leftover stock.
We went to see Bryan Adams and we were very pleased with the venue. There was ample parking and a decent amount of space for everyone. I never felt crowded or overwhelmed by the amount of people. Buying refreshments was quick and easy. Staff were courteous. Only complaint is that my lids were taken when buying waters, however wine bottles could keep theirs?
Easily accessible. Great facilities and office space. Management is a well oiled machine. It's a great place for concerts, both local and international, perfect for festivals, events. Majority of concerts are held here and expos
The Dome is in a prime position to host all sorts of events, and it does. From music concerts to expos, you'll likely visit it more than once in your lifetime! The venue itself has excellent facilities in the form of renovated ablutions, several established takeout food offerings, and great security. There is plenty of parking on the Northgate side and opposite the Dome for bigger events. It is a bit of a squeeze trying to get out of the parking after big events though so you may consider leaving a little early. Events are also always well-organised.
Huge venue. Well located. Very popular. But parking set up is not very easy to understand and navigate.
It's still a great venue. Went to watch Cat Stevens and it was planned properly. No queues, well set up for ease of access, great sound and clean ablutions.
Great venue for expo and concerts. Feel safe, good food, plenty of options. Parking is secure. Easy to get into and out of
Sufficient parking.
Clean venue with well placed entrances.
Right next to a mall for easy lunch during a convention.
Abit tricky figuring out where to park sometimes.
Everything you could want in an expo venue. We found easy, secure parking and the spent most of a day enjoying the displays at the show. Also i liked the variety of foods on offer at the stalls of the dome - the Curry Den was superb for takeaways.
parking seems like a nightmare, but you'll be surprised how quick they pop you out after a concert. venue is nice and we only felt crowded when everyone left. lotsa chow places and toilets too.
Rage was amazing!!! This place always hosts such nice events and has ample space to do so. Really a conformable space.
Nice open venue. Acoustics are okay. Parking is nicely laid out.
Excellent modern looking venue with wide open spaces. Keeps the claustrophobia at bay when visiting very popular events. Might be a little confusing to find parking especially if it's your first time here and they usually charge cash (paper money) upfront for parking like it's 1980.
Was at the travel expo last month and I was quite impressed with the cleanliness and hiegenic environment. Most maintained and we'll kept venue I've been to that hosts such massive expos / shows. Ample parking and right next door to a mall which is an added bonus.
