While I absolutely loved the wild life experience, the trackers and rangers, I felt deceived by the reservations front office. They were NOT upfront with the cost of transfers and when I checked out, the reception desk gave me a higher total. I signed my total amount and then queried it. They said that because I didn't 'negotiate' the total before, that I have to pay what I signed for $350.00 more than expected! This might be okay in Zululand, but it is not customary in other countries. I feel deceived and have asked for a refund for the part of the transfers that I was not aware of. I was told that transfers were included in my deposit. Now they will not negotiate with me. Ironic! Therefore, beware that any invoice due by you, might just be a scam.

Damian is the best Game Drive guide I've ever had in my life. He was incredible And friendly and so kind and deserves many thanks along with the rest of the staff at lodge. His patience for making sure we had the best sightings possible of the elephants was absolutely awesome and he provided us with breath taking and magical experiences over the 3 days we were there. He is a valuable and irreplaceable asset to the Thula team.

The Home of Lawrence Anthony, The Elephant Whisperer. Lawrence was a Legendary South African, and his story spell binding, as are the elephants.
The Elephants of Thula Thula pay homeage to this Great Man Annually, you should definitely pay them a visit.
Located in the Zululand Mountains, Thula Thula is beautiful, the staff committed to conservation and the atmosphere electric.
Do yourself a favour and visit.

Great place for safari with amazing crew taking good care of you and making sure you get to see everything they have to offer. The food was amazing. The place could use a little renovation here and there but excellent in general.
