Very pleasant setting. Good quality food but on the pricey side. The others at my table were very happy with what they had .... I had the platter of prosciutto etc. It cost over R.100 and was definitely a starter portion. I will avoid it next time. The service was cheerful and efficient.

Quietly tucked away in Mowbay. This restaurant is ideal for a cosy dinner of a business lunch. The menu is small but the food is tasty. Great selection of wines as well as whisky at the bar. The menu is getting long in the tooth though

Lovely venue with great outdoor seating area. The food was a healthy portion, well-prepared and seasoned with accompanying vegetables cooked to perfection. The waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and had a sense of humour. They are a child friendly venue with high chairs available.

After friends had warned us that the staff were very slow in getting round to attending to them we were pleasantly surprised! Daniel was quick and courteous. The menu has changed slightly in the 2 years since we last ate here. The Springbok hot pot was tender and juicy, the Pork
Belly was exquisite, the sauces mouth-watering - it was a most enjoyable meal.

This is a hidden gem of the city. The restaurant is placed at the site of a very large fig tree which is a national monument. The place is well designed and the many herbs that are planted there bring a welcoming presence that is hard to explain. They have many wines and craft beer available and their food is delicious.

One complaint I have is the lighting, it isn't that well lit and could do with a few brighter bulbs here and there. One would argue here though as it brings a romantic element to the restaurant.

Highly recommended, superb for large group gatherings will certainly go again.

An absolutely stunning venue, with various seating options. It's perfect for a birthday, wedding or celebration of any kind. It's also actually just a great place to go for lunch on a Saturday.

Great place for corporate events- they have a nice conference room that can sit close to 60 people.
Wildfig also offers a nice, cosy atmosphere...making it a great place for dinner with friends and deep conversations. It also has friendly and helpful staff. The food is also edible...I have no complaints.

A hidden jem. Particularly nice on a cold night near the fire. Food is good and reasonably priced. They also allow corkage.

On a quieter weeknight, this fine dining restaurant has a lovely tranquil atmosphere in a beautiful location. The food was delicious and many at our table raved about it. They have a different and varied menu that will appeal to foodies.

I had the chicken Caesar salad - was tiny tiny tiny...and I actually ordered the large size. Also almost no chicken in it - perhaps 40 grams if that. Long story short - I didn't enjoy.

Rest of the people seemed to be happy with their meals, so perhaps don't order Chicken Caesar

Unlike some other reviewers we had a lovely visit. Our food was interesting and delicious, smallish but ample portions, hot with clean glasses and cutlery. There was a lovely fire burning and our waitress was attentive and competent. I had Wildebeest fillet, my father the warthog pie and my mother the Greek lamb in phyllo. We had Malta pudding and chocolate fondant for desert.

Food was just OK. Dined with six people and everyone had something different more or less. No one raved about their meal although no one complained either. I had red meat which was tasty, but nothing I couldn't rustle up at home. The restaurant is nice, getting a bit dated in style and unfortunately now close to road noise.

We have visited The Wild Fig numerous times in the last 5 years. It is our go-to restaurant for good food in a relaxing atmosphere. I can highly recommend their red velvet cheese cake. It keeps us coming back time after time!

Went here for a wedding reception, was sooo impressed by the food and service. Litterally every dish off their set menu was amazing. Beautiful setting and a decent sized bar. Would have liked more room to dance and better seating (chairs tended to tip over easily when getting up) but the staff was very hands on and friendly. Great place to have a small wedding!

Lovely place hidden away from the busy roads. Very nicely decorated and polite and friendly staff. I enjoyed my food although personally found it a bit on the expensive side for the quantity that you get. I have been told that they make the best burgers in town, although I was unable to test this statement for myself. I ordered a 250g steak and it came to R160 ... with a poached egg on top ... that was an odd and pricey combination, certainly. For those interested, they have their liquor license back as of December 2016.

I went to a family function on Saturday. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and setting of the restaurant and garden it's really beautiful. I felt the service wasn't quite as good as it should be our waiter had to be reminded a few times about orders, granted that we were a large party. I wanted rose' wine and was told they don't have any. So service needs to be improved.
