  Old school hotel pub. Good, affordable food., daily specials. Very relaxed. No separate smoking sectionno one complains.

  Any local will tell you "The Thistle" is a pmb legend. In the pub, grab a draught and enjoy the luxury of sitting at tables that aren't made for dwarves, then thrash a mate in pool, perhaps after picking your favourite tune on a digital jukebox. If it's lunch time, enjoy some pie chips and gravy at a reasonable price.
