Crappy place. I won't advise others to even consider staying at this place. They will make you to pay the moment and will tell about the issues they have with their room. Very unprofessional.
It's a nice place and the service is great.. Place to relax nd have fun
Good hospitality, and good breakfasthad a great time with the family in the area
It's 15 minutes away from Sun City, it can accommodate a number of guest. Safe parking and safe neighborhood. And more good things about the place
Good to be there free swimming lessons when u woke up.
We arrived in the evening and there were no staff to find - nor no warm welcome. The staff member that I did eventually find could speak little to no english.
Room 1;
We were shown to a very small room - which for R750 a night was not going to fly for me. As the room was musty I turned on the aircon by the plug as there was no remote. It blew warm air only which only made the small room stuffier. The bathroom was just a shower and a toilet with a sliding door dividing it from the bedroom. There was a flat screen TV but only a few channels were tuned. I tested the lights in the bedroom and bathroom but none were working. I then went to find a staff member who showed me the lightbulb for that bathroom and in broken english told me there was a problem with the light to which she said she could give me a lamp. I was not happy and asked for another room.
Room 2;
She reluctantly showed me to another room - which was like a 5 star upgrade from the first room. It had working lights. She then told me that the aircon in the new room did not work so she switched on the fan and held her hand to it. She knew the air did not blow from the fan outwards but kept on asking me "okay? okay?". She then added that I mustn't use the kettle as it is not working. The shower hose attachment on the bath was worn and torn and did not work. The lighting fixtures in the bathroom were broken and hanging from the ceiling. There was also a plastic shopping bag filling a hole in the ceiling.
Breakfast and food offered;
We only ate there on one morning. We had to ask for milk for tea/coffee. There were only cereals on offer. We were offered a warm breakfast of eggs, vienna and chicken livers. We received one egg which was cold with a single vienna (also cold) with a tablespoon of chicken livers (also cold). We couldn't even get toast as they said "there was a problem with the toaster". No butter, margarine, jam or other spreads.
Breaking down their blurb;
- Located in Mogwase, 400 m from Shoprite Supermarket - we couldn't find any shops nearby
- Marys BnB features a barbecue and views of the garden - unless you stay on the side of the garden your view is of a concrete courtyard. The barbeque in the garden is completely rusted and the grid is sewn together with a mish mash of wires.
- Free WiFi is available - No WiFi
- free private parking is available on site - parking was fine but awkwardly configured
- Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels - our room had an old TV with a non functioning remote
- All rooms include a private bathroom - no actual doors, only sliding doors.
- You will find a shared kitchen at the property - we were never allowed to access the kitchen
- We speak your language! - perhaps the owners do but none of the staff can speak English.
This might have been a nice BnB a few years ago but now it is so run down and is not being maintained. I would not recommend staying here at their price point.
Gostei da localização porque fica perto do Parque Pilanesberg e um bom café da manhã.
