Description

Tannery Industrial Park is not your average industrial park as it boasts a unique feature which has attracted many curious visitors over recent years. On every building in the complex you will amazed and delighted to see magnificent wildlife murals created by Fourie Ackerman, which were commissioned by Hein von Landsberg who was the original owner of the Tannery Industrial Park. There are a total of 49 murals and some are impressively large reaching a height of 3 stories!

Within this complex is the appropriately named The Lion’s Den restaurant which nostalgically recreates a turn of the century establishment complete with corrugated iron roof and dark wood ceiling beams and floorboards.

Turning to the well priced menu , you can start the day with a very reasonable breakfast special, or go the whole hog and opt for the indulgent mixed grill. Light meals range from tramezzins and toasted sandwiches , through to salads such as the biltong & avo, or the popular chicken Casear. There’s plenty on offer for meat lovers as the grill offers lamb chops, chicken fillets and a selection of steaks and burgers. Good old fashioned fish & chips is always a firm favorite and there are a number of pasta dishes if you prefer something a little more continental.

Your host Fanie Lochner is warm and engaging and will go that extra mile to please his guests. You can even order cakes for special occasions!
