We currently have legal proceedings with the owner regarding a property in Limpopo. We advised High Street Auctions that there are current litigation and criminal processes on this property and that the property cannot be sold until such legal / criminal proceedings have been finalised. High Street Auctions then removed the property from the website and just before the auction date they placed the property back on their auction website. How cunning for a quick buck!!

Criminal charges have been brought against the owner of the property together with her Lawyer. All such communication had been communicated with High Street Auctions. They proceeded to sell the property with all our furniture and simply blocked our calls.

A criminal case will follow suit. Mr Guy Downing advised that they will not proceed with sale of properties that are currently in litigation. We question the integrity and misleading way High Street Auctions chose to handle this matter. Mr Shawn Van Jaarsveld is a simply rude auctioneer with no regard to the law, together with the Managing Director, James, who simply chooses to ignore communication and fails to return any phone calls or emails.

The SAPS / The Rental Tribunal have now been advised of the action taken by High Street Auctions. It appears that they have no regard for the law, proceeded to sell property that does not even belong to them or the owner. High Street Auctions have now been added to our file and we proceed to take criminal charges against them.

What is absolutely shocking, is that they will, knowingly with full details, allow this new owner into a field of criminal and legal proceedings and continue to take his/ her money without them having any knowledge of such activities. SHOCKING !!!

First thing first, I believe they sharing your information with other companies.
Details as phone number email and your financial statements.
BE AWARE THAT YOUR PRIVATE DETAILS MIGHT BE GIVEN TO UNWANTED ORGANIZATION OR PRIVATE PEOPLE!!!
Basically they just want your money.
Before the purchase, they will make you feel that all will be easy and simple.
After the purchase their real attitude will show. Mistakes that they made you will have to solve with paying good money for lawyers. No one will answer or return your calls. If you wish to lose money and time and your peace. You came to the right place!
Do your self a favor and just Skip this amateur messy and zero customer care after sale company. If I could give ZERO STARS, I would have. Mostly I believe that the 5starts are coming from theirsemployees of them. Lame!

On the 13 June 2019, I purchased ,through High St Auction Co, a piece of land. I was to be given an investor pack, which among other information, would have included the plans - fundamental to the purchase.
I was promised the plans once the commission was paid, and the guarantees to the seller were in place. I fulfilled my obligations, but never received the plans as part of the investor pack. What is more, I established that the architect had not been paid for the plans, and so, will not release them. The amount owed to the architect is R800,000.00.
There was no way I could have checked the contents of the investor pack before the auction, and presumed that High St Auction Cohad fulfilled their obligations as per the pack agreement.
Despite this fundamental and costly error, High St Auction Co has so far refused to acceptability and moreover, has failed to re-imburse me the commission paid to them. I must emphasise that assurances were made by a James Dall and Riccardo Gomes Da Silva that they would "do the right thing". I would like to add that James Dall does not return calls and is unpleasant to deal with.
My suggestion is that people take extreme caution when dealing with High St Auction Co. They lack transparency, do not accept responsibility and are unethical. What High St Auction Co offers is far from what they deliver. Do not be deceived by the upmarket, sophisticated image - you pay for it!
