Awesome place to pop in for a meal or a drink or to stay overnight. Very friendly and knowledgeable Owner, Ian and staff. Within 10 kilometers of amazing views of the Berg.

Friendly, well trained and hospitable staff. Good food options, but the wine options are very limited but adequate. You can go next door to the bottle store and choose a bottle and they charge R20 corkage. Steaks are good, curries outstanding and for a quick lunch the basket options are excellent value for money and very tasty of you want a snacky type meal to share..probably the better food syrup in Winterton. Beware the bar if it's full of locals..you won't get home earlyor sober.

Price is good. Situated in the Drakensberg with nearby places of interest to visit. Food is good. Accommodating hosts. Rooms are clean and serviced. Warning in summer ask for an air-conditioned room.

The manager is the friendliest person I've ever met in the hospitality business. He prepared excellent lunch for us, accommodating to our preferences. Also showed us around the hotel and made us feel completely at home. I would definitely recommend this place to eat and/or stay.
