  Some very nice food. Very helpful staff and Jane was exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with. Food portions can have a bit more gravy.

  The service was excellent. The food was of the best. Compliments to all the staff for your professionalism and friendliness. Chef's your food was absolutely amazing. I will recommend this to all friends and family

  Brilliant setting. Food was excellent. The only problem is parking. The public parking was closed by some residents for a function. Totally annoying. Had to park outside n walk in the rain. Management of Boathouse were very unhelpful. Spoke to management n they looked dazed. Put a damper on our year end lunch. No one tried to assist our group in the rainy weather.

  Easy booking. Lovely private room with a clear view of the sea, ideal for functions with groups of up to 20 people. Sumptuous meals with a wide variety for veg and non veg diners. Homely ambience with warm and accommodating service. 5 star experience for our year end staff function.

  It was mid week lunch, so very peaceful. Good food and service. You can walk on the beach while waiting for your good to arrive. An overall excellent experience.

  Very pleasant staff and excellent service, food was divine. Ambience was lovely. I will go back to Thava anytime. Beautiful drive to Ballito. Watch the very hot dishes though go for medium if you cannot handle the heat😛

  Service was really bad. Our meals took over an 1:30 to arrive even after phoning and pre ordering our meals. Even our drinks order had been messed up. The venue is stunning but service sucked!

  Thava restaurant, situated in Balito, boasts authentic Indian cuisine at its finest with complimentary starters. The venue is situated a stone's throw away from the beach and overlooks the waves and seashore.

  A great slightly upmarket restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine. Overall, we enjoyed all the food, and were glad that the food had a good bite!
  
  We tried a variety of starters, and they were all quite tasty, especially the chicken strips and the prawns 65.
  
  The curries were great, and all come served with rice. We also ordered a few naan breads and rotis which were great with the curries. We saw that the lamb chops masala was highly recommended, but we found it to be extremely salty, and quite difficult to eat.
  
  Our waiter, Jerry, was very knowledgeable and accommodating of our requests and questions.

  Enjoyed the meals and service. Went the extra mile by giving free fried ice cream dessert because my family felt the Soji was average. The atmosphere is calm, warm and inviting as well. Love this place and would recommend to others for divine Indian cuisine.
