My parents came to visit the 'Caves in the 50s, and in those days it was a serious venture slowly crawling up the mountainside to the entrance, and there was very little else to see or do except to pop out my mom's picnic basket, spread a blanket and take a break.

Today the caves themselves are still there somewhat unaffected by civilisation but the main access roads have improved, there is ample parking, some souvenir and coffee shops and lately other activities too.

It is by no means a high-traffic must-see do-it-all location, but for the person who enjoys going slightly off the beaten track it represents an opportunity to spend a morning in a fun environment. And if you are really brave you can partake in one of the scheduled deep-cave tours which is not for the faint hearted.

For every historian and adventurous person out there. You won't be disappointed. This is a must see. It's abit chilly inside but indescribable in its wonder. I really recommend doing this if your that side if town.

Very nice setup. Tour leaders are very friendly and helpful.
A must do when you are doing a Lowveld trip.
The stairs to the entrance are steep and a little demanding. Take your time.
Nice shop at the top. Clean and tidy ablutions at the top.

The drive to the parking is stunning, though very steep.

Picturesque. A must do experience for anyone with wonder. Friendly tour guides and set in the beautiful mountains which leave nothing short of breathless. Short tour is good enough and easy with kids even babies.

Absolutely great.
It was raining so we didn't do the panorama route as planned. The caves were a nice and dry alternative.
It's a pity that it's so quiet, really is worth taking the whole family to see.
There are some bits you have to climb stairs or bend down a bit but they are completely optional.
There is a once a month 9 hour walk for the more adventurous.

Nature at it's best. A wow experience! I was impressed by the history of the Swazi people as explained by the tour guide.I enjoyed every moment in the caves from weeping Madonna, "KFC" to the overwhelming beauty of verland. Will take my family there one day, love it🤗

What a beautiful place to spend the day. The caves was surprisingly huge and the guide friendly and well informed. He stopped and asked for questions and allowed everyone a chance to take pictures. Be sure to take some cash for at the end of the guided tour you will have a change to tip the guide accordingly.
Although the caves are well lit take a camera with a good flash.
Walking around in the caves can be slippery so wear shoes that can give you that extra grip.
Be sure to visit the other attractions like the fish spa the gift shop and the dinosaur park. They might not seem worth the while and very out dated but remember to have fun and have an open mind.
We also enjoyed a lovely milkshake at the restaurant looking over the tree tops and was treated to a visit by a herd of "blou Aapies" which made the day complete.
The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and eager to have a chat as did the dinosaur guy.
Overall the experience was positive with the cave tour exceeding our expectations, we enjoyed the other attractions too but would like to see them getting a twentieth century upgrade to make it even more enjoyable.

Tours are a bit pricy. They have a cute little dinosaur park for kids and also a nice coffee shop/restaurant. Good activities for all ages I think

Well worth the time and we had a very entertaining guide. The outside dinosaur park is a bit dated, but great for kids to experience. Be sure your vehicle can make the relatively steep climb up to the entrance.

This is a must do for every family. Some awesome sights inside. Inexpensive and guides are knowledgeable on the subject matter. Dinosaur park next door was disappointing and not recommended.

Beautiful and historic, wonderful learning experience for my kids. The guide was very well informed and ready to answer any questions. He interacted really well with my kids allowing them to touch the artifacts.

something to see while getting out of the the sun. The Sudwala caves does not have the same amount of history as the Cradile of Human kind or the Cango caves but it still tells the story of one of the local tribes.

A really wonderful experience. With lots of stairs in the beginning.. But totally worth it.
Guided tours done by helpful and kind tour guides.

The gift shop is wonderful and has lovely gifts at affordable prices.
Why not get yourself a slushie or ice cream on the hot days
