Stephan's Lodge is a solid choice when travelling down the cape by car. The rooms do offer great views over the ocean. The place is dated though, breakfast very basic, furniture's old and hygiene could be improved as well. There's not that much alternatives around so it's pretty much one of your best bets but still - I recommend the host to further invest into the property and renovate.

A guesthouse with a view to die for, lovely staff members, nice rooms and very good food. The owner (Stephan) goes out of his way to make your stay there as comfortable as possible.

We booked 6 weeks in advance and were so looking forward to spoiling ourselves for the weekend! I looked at the pictures online and couldn't wait to visit Stephan's Guest House.

We were however very disappointed on arrival to be put into the 'Giraffe' room - small, dark and dingy. It is nothing like the beautiful room advertised on the web.

There is very little privacy as the balconies are right next to each other with only frosted glass in between. The outside chairs are small and uncomfortable. There is no door between the bedroom and the toilet! The best part of our stay was the view.

Love this places. Great views, fantastic food, top class spacious rooms. Stephan has always been very welcoming. Would highly recommend this place for business or a couples getaway.

Large room, great position..Spar down the rd.2 excellent restaurants..300m away a whale view platform 30m from the bottom of their driveway, lovely staff, top breakfast..has a good plan with eco friendly energy consumption..and owner very helpfulno problem with mozzies.

a beautiful place to relax and enjoy an amasing sea view. Very convenient living with German standards! good place to visit lake eland national park with lots of attractions. awesome!
