The tourist office here is pretty amazing. Staff are so knowledgeable and very friendly. Go park off in the little restaurant in the garden at the back and enjoy a light meal and great coffee. There is also a small gift shop inside with all handmade South African craft.

Strangely I didn't find the tourist office very helpful but I would not wish to deter you for using them because it could have been a misunderstanding

Very chill atmosphere and nice souvenirs (have a look at the postcards they are incredible). Go and plan a tour with the local AWA (nickname). She gave us a tour of stellenboch inclu the township where she was born in. So just stop by and talk to the ladies!

The traffic is a nightmare and is getting worse every year. It's time for the municipality and traffic department to do something meaningful about it because it's a logistical disaster. All roads become gridlocked and no one can get where they are going on time.

Terrible customer service. We felt really disappointed about the way we were approached. We came to the tourism office to ask information about wine tours. The lady at the reception named Veronica told us everything was booked or gave us options that appeared to be booked too. When we asked further about flyers we found in the office, she started talking about us to colleagues in different language and rolling her eyes. Suddenly there were other options she didnt mentioned before. We decided to call the vine hopper (hop on hop off bus) ourselves, who were really friendly and told us they werent fully booked at all.. we got lucky the driver wanted to take us en arranged the booking himself. We felt treated unfair and almost had no good option to visit winehouses because of a grumpy receptionist..
