Talk about being unfriendly. Wow! Tried to make a booking now, but the gentleman who answered the phone almost made one feel that they don't want any guests. Sounded very annoyed at my questions regarding the accommodation and pricing. Also very confused as the website of the guesthouse says it offers breakfast and supper on request, yet this gentleman was addament that it fully self catering. Not impressed at all.

Very nice house and garden, plenty of room, clean, main house ideal for 4 persons (family), starting point for Kruger (1.5 hours to go), friendly service

This place is a dump. Not clean and smells mouldy. There also wasn't hot water so had to shower in ice cold water. Didn't get the room that was originally booked. Price is a rip off - definetely not value for money.

After an attempted break in during my stay the farm manager Tim Holford called the police but then didn't want to take responsibility talking to them or file a report and there was never any mention of repairing the broken window and bars. Apparently he is "too busy running the farm" to deal with guest security. Also the way I heard him talking to his staff was not very pleasant, and the early morning low flying helicopter crop dusting will surely not aid your rest and relaxation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Softwaters Farm. The Guesthouse was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Glad to recommend this spot to anybody looking for something new. P.S. Enjoyed the birding as well!
