The old world charm is still prevalent, although the camp looks tired and outdated, the new conference facilities are world class. Sad to say, but the rooms now all have TV's installed with wires hanging from the wall. The gardens are left to the elements with no finishing, the restaurants are, at best, average. Although things are not as they should be, it remains a lovely camp and creative gestures are tried throughout the camp, concerning the gardens and the chalets.

It's okay. Not more and not less. Rooms are tidy and clean but not luxury and there are no extras. It is self catering or you go to the restaurant. there are many braai places and good mosquito nets everywhere

This rest camp is impeccably maintained and operated, with courteous staff and an unbeatable view from the restaurant patio. The tour guides were generally competent, and lots of fun. The prices are also very reasonable. Our hut was small, but comfortable, clean, and functional.

The camp is neat and tidy. We love sitting next to the Sabie River. Unfortunately Skukuza is the centre of the tourist area and therefore extremely busy during the day. But in the evening the pace slows down and one is able to enjoy a quiet dinner next to the river.

This is like the capital "city" of the Kruger National Park. Still by no means a city, but in comparison with the other rest camps in the park, it is definitely a lot busier and a lot bigger. Not my favourite place to stay but definitely gets points for convenience. Nice big shop with a good variety of goods, a petrol station, lots of extra activities, there is a spa in this camp, as well. And have a lovely restaurant at this camp, selling quick meals and coffee, as well as a proper sit down meal.

Our accommodations are nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can't beat the location either!!!

Headquarters in the KNP so large with administrative and main support functions based here, but still retains the serenity of a camp. Good shop, restaurant, fast food, library (currently closed for renovations), fuel, medical services, swimming pools and an airport available. Camping site also has permanent tents available. Site is large enough to jog around if you need a break from the car!

The biggest and busiest camp in Kruger. Well run from a commercial aspect. Always busy at this camp and easily accessible from the Kruger or Phabeni gates. The airport is also an option if you planning to fly in. Booking are essential due to the popularity of this camp. A wide range of accomodation options available. A well stocked shop at the camp which is pricey for locals. Great activities offered. Stunning views of the river and ideal to kick back and relax.

Clean rest camp with large stands for camping. Ablutions typical plain Sanparks kept clean by staff. Shop, restaurant and fuel available.

Book ahead and get to stay inside the park, great comfortable accommodations, and restaurants inside are of excellent quality. Service from staff is superb. Very family friendly.

Great to watch the elephants & Buffalo at the river. Chalet adequate. Restaurant, Cattle Baron food good but service slow. Will visit again. Love Kruger National Park

Fantastic camp, well inside the park boundary. You'll see lots of animals driving to it! The family bungalows with river view are brilliant, but tents and other bungalows are also great. Nice, outdoor cooking facilities, and a reasonable restaurant and cafe. The restaurant has (slow) wifi for free.

This experience was a perfect example of the South African spirit. My wife and I were driving through Kruger and misunderstood the gate exit times. While we were talking to the administrator of the airport about the gorgeous sunset, she discovered our error, made a telephone call and put us in touch with the camp administrator. When we arrived, shortly before closing, the staff and administrator made sure we acquired a campsite for the evening and were gracious and courteous to us. The campground was packed (it was school holidays) but everything was clean and well kept. We highly recommend this for a base from which to visit and view Kruger.

we just called in for a refreshment stop on a couple of days in Feb 2017. A very popular large camp with many facilities. All en-suite accommodation fully let so we had to stay elsewhere. seems a good place living up to its reputation - has a refridgerated room in the shop just selling ice cold beer!
