Lovely mountains to enjoy and admire. The trails are well kept and superbly laid out and a joy for the professional as well as the average walker and elderly. Please refrain from doing the trails alone. Bad elements are potentially present anywhere but in more isolated places like mountain trails one should not "invite their actions.

Tranquil environment for people who wants to enjoy a scenic hike. Cool off in the dam and enjoy a nice swim.
During low fire season there are options to braai or enjoy your picnic basket close to the dam.response / report this review -

Very nice hike with stunning views. Unfortunately it is quite unsafe as hikers regularly get mugged or attacked - if it wasn't for this I would've given it a 5 star review.

Amazing. There is a entrance fee but don’t let this put you off. A fresh water lake is ten mins walk from the car park. Picnic areas dotted around the lake and walks up into the mountains. We went on a walk to ‘Elephants eye’. A large cave high up in the mountain. A good hours walk but I managed it in flip flops. A nice path zig zags up the mountain surrounded by wild flowers. Once you cross a small stream it’s on ten mins away. Cool your feet in the stream filled with tadpoles and power on to amazing views. My eleven managed it too, no probs. A must do.

Well marked trails, clean, car guard on duty, dam great place for families and braai area fantastic during those sunny winter days.

Super Ziel für kleine Ausflüge da man eigentlich bis zum Stausee mit dem Auto fahren kann. Von dort aus gibt es mehrere Wanderungen. Das Elephant Eye ist ein muss wen man schon da ist. Danach als Abkühlung in den See springen.
