Wonderful Place. Owners were extremely helpful and helped with the move in. They really made me and my friends feel at home. Facicilites are great and the location of the apartment is perfect.

I would recommend Seashelles to anyone looking for a place to stay in Umhlanga, this place ticks all the boxes.

Thank you Priscilla and Filip for the lovely service !

Since we discovered this little piece of heaven some 12 years ago, we have come back to spend up to 2 months every January / March, and hope to continue this practice, for the foreseeable future.
Both Filip and Priscilla have from our first visit, done everything to make each year more special.
Our location, though a short distance from the " village " of uMhlanga, is quiet and situated amidst the hi- end of the residential area.
The exclusive use of the family's pool is very welcome on those hot February days.
Both John and myself could not recommend " Seashelles " more highly.
Some 7 years ago, 2 of our sons came to visit us, and still talk about their holiday, hoping to bring their now wives and children to meet the Engelen family.

I have just returned from my twelfth visit to Seashelles. The accommodation is excellent and has recently been upgraded further. The area is quiet, but it is only a 25 minute walk to the centre of Umhlanga which is always buzzing and 15 minutes to the start of the promenade. The pool, the garden and the vista are amazing and Filip and Priscilla have continuously made me feel very welcome. I look forward to going back again.

This is the third year I've returned to Seachelles. Its hard to imagine a more beautiful setting for a holiday. Our apartment has everything we need and having to take just 9 steps to the pool, is a bonus - ( I counted them!)
Philip and Priscilla are always so welcoming that it feels like a second home. I would have no hesitation in recommending Seachelles as a perfect place to stay.

    Dreadful experience at this venue

    • In spite of what they advertise or state in the “terms and conditions” the owner was rude and inappropriately abusive toward me and my guests
    • She strictly forbid any socialising, verbally abusing our day visitors and threatening them with prosecution if they entered the accommodation, there was no mention of this in the terms and conditions,
    • The free wifi advertised on the website was not forthcoming since she refused to give anyone the password saying it was not available, however the signal could clearly be seen on our phones
    • She then sent a letter, with details of what would be deducted off the breakage deposit with photos of items not identified in the unit?? fabrication of breakages!

All round unacceptable and not welcoming. Tried to contact her about the above but no response. Normally I would not complain, but her behaviour was in my opinion so offensive,
If you cant share your home with other people who are paying for the accommodation, then don’t build two apartments on your property!!!

I was recently staying at Seashelles resort in Umhlanga while on holiday and will never return to it, or recommend it to anybody. The owner/manager was rude, the facilities were not up to standard and treatment of customers was disgusting.

I, as a paying customer, was called "arrogant" and "ugly" due to the fact that I did not engage in an argument with the owner . This argument occurred as a result of her wishing to charge me R650 for me keeping somebosy else's bags in my room for one night. These insults were shouted over a balcony in front of other clients.

Besides the rudeness of the owner, the facilities promised on the website did not materialise despite full payment for all facilities being made. Furthermore, we were wrongly accused of having broken items in the unit which were not in fact there. This fact can be validated by a further 3 people as well as images of the unit.

I would not recommend Seashelles resort to any customer as it is not value for money, and the treatment of clients is a long way off the required standard for a supposed four star resort.
