  Nursery with a restaurant at the back. Beautiful setting next to a small river. Food was excellent and the portions were generous.

  Great food, excellent service and a restful ambience amidst the hustle and bustle of Pietermaritzburg. The red, yellow and green fruit juices are exceptional as is the coffee. Open sandwiches are good value for money and offer interesting combinations. My favorite breakfast spot in Maritzburg. Just a pity that they don't open for dinner.

  Beautiful restaurant / café. Nice vibe. Great quality food. Pizza made with traditional stone ground flour, no additives and preservatives....just like I like it! The kombucha tastes great. I love all the healthy natural options on the menu.

  The food is consistently good, the fusion of flavours will tantalise any discerning palate.
  It has a wonderful ambience and the staff are always on their toes. One of my happy places to relax and take time out.

  High class menu - a food lovers' dream fulfilled. Beautiful surroundings with a cosmopolitan buzz. Three areas with their own ambience. Childrens' playground, clean restrooms, AND the opportunity to browse a well stocked nursery. Make sure to book if you want a weekend lunch time table!
  The children's playground is getting a but worn and needs some attention - rickety uprights, a strange not really anything 'motorbike', faulty zip line. I hope Sagewood realise this is a HUGE drawcard and make it right very soon.

  Great food, great service and will be back. Their banting meals are delicious and banting bread the best I have ever tasted. If you're a banter, worth taking home a loaf ... ask them to slice it for you.

  One of the gems of the Natal Midlands. Ingredients as fresh as you can get, friendly service but the presentation is possibly the best I had ever seen. Visit Sagewood Café for an unique experience under the shady trees at Blackwoods Nursery. Great value for money!!!

  Friendly waitress and young manager. Both very helpful and patient with two first time visitors. Nice to have a walk round by the chef. Really enjoyed the pizza. Crisp and hot .... delicious! Only down side was the chipped plate. Will definitely be back.
