Very neat and tidy rooms that accommodate non smoking as well as smoking members of the public. Secure enclosed parking with a 24/7 security guard and electric gate. Sun1 is also situated right opposite bloemfontein university and within close proximity to other shopping centers and two of bloemfontein's main malls, Mamosa mall and Waterfront mall. Rooms are spacious, 1 dubbel bed, 1 single bunk bed, enclosed toilet, 1 shower, basin and mirror. Friendly staff and affordable prices. Close to spur and 3 military hospital. Serves breakfast in the morning.

Really disappointed with the service I received when I called to confirm my reservation that I booked online . Peter the guy that answered the phone could not confirm if the booking that I had booked online was available even after I had given him the reservation number that was
Given to me when I made the booking online which was paid for online. I had to email the reservation number to him and still he couldnt confirm the booking . I then had to call customer care and check if the booking was still avaialble . This is very poor service and very unprofessional. And I hope that this is not the norm at this Sun1 .asked to also speak to the manager and was told that he is busy . Called again and was told that he is still busy .

We had a reservation booking at Sun 1 Bloemfontein on 12 th October 2016. After travelling 450 km we were looking forward to have a bit of a rest. At reception I requested the person on duty to go and show me the disabled room since we have a son in a wheel chair. When I opened the bed there was a long hair between the top and bottom sheets. To say the least I was quite upset and told the person that I will not be staying here.
When I got in my car I tried to get out of the gate but it seems to me that the gate was kept closed even after two attempts of ringing the bell at the exit gate from reception side for the manager to come and talk to me first before I leave. I met the manager of the hotel near my car and we had a bit of a heated discussion about the matter. She did apologise and wanted to offer me another room but with my disabled son I could not even if I wanted to accept an normal room. I did ask he if she would be prepared to sleep in a bed with a long hair in it and she agreed that she would also not sleep in it. The moral of the story is that I really doubt that the bedding in all instances get changed between guest because how otherwise is it possible to find hair between the sheets. I recommend that you check out your room first to see that all is fine before you accept it. If you read the other reviews during the last month it also seems quite scarery.
