While not as dodgy as most other Spars I still recommend being careful what you buy; tomatoes turned upside down in packaging are rotten underneath and the same goes for other fruit.

Biltong is atrocious ,i have asked many times to change there supplier or recipe and still they have the worst tasting biltong i have ever tasted ,so dry it taste like the bark of a tree and the droewors is old and always has white spots on it , they never stock noodles and canned salmon their chips are never fried properly , the chicken strips has white sport all over it , there cold meat is always old ,not to mention avo's being R50 and they arent even ripe and are smaller the a damn peach , with that being said i will rather drive further to do my groceries or by food , not cool spar fairlands not cool

Usually buy my lunch meals for work from here. Today the beef stew had so many dead bugs in it, it couldn't be ignored. Disgusted to say the least

Very friendly and the main store for surrounding homes
Open form 7am till 6pm on week days and till 5pm on weekends, they also have a BBQ every Saturday till 3pm

Conveniently located if you tavel home from North (or N East) to the Western suburbs via 9th's underpass. It's a quick stop on the way home. Parking can be limited in the afternoons.
