A dream come true! It was such a wonderful experience! The hosts are kind and warm and great company. The accommodation is designed with great attention to detail. The surroundings are breathtaking and the fact that animals can just roam around is amazing!

This is not a hotel with a fenced in zoo. Actual safaris with knowledgeable guides. The rooms are more like tents with no AC but I did not miss it. Even in the middle of summer the nights are cool. The pool is super and the wake up call from the orangutans and birds was really nice. The staff is INCREDIBLY nice we got to know all of them. The food is excellent no menu but would accommodate special diets and allergies. I could not be happier. Thanks to Lilly, Conrad, Karis, Dillon, Don, and Constance.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at Rukiya, the best time we have had on vacation, ever! We were there in early October, temp was glorious and visuals were great because leaves had not all come out yet. Lily and Conraad have done such a great job, made such a welcoming place, and treated us as friends and family. We will go to Rukiya the next time we go to So Africa. We saw 4 of the 5 with Rukiya.

We had a great stay at Rukiya Safari Camp. The staff where all friendly and very accommodating.

We did game drives in the morning and evening daily and saw the big 5 in the 2 days we were there. The food was good too.

The tents are beautiful and a great experience to see the bush from another perspective. That being said they’re extremely hot during the day and therefore you’ll definitely spend your time in the pool area between game drives and lunch. In the evening they cool down quickly and are very pleasant.

The game rangers were knowledgeable and Lilly was on the ball always greeting us on our return and ever present in the main area to assist with any requests.

Amazing place to stay for game drives and other stuff. We spent one night at the Camp, attending the evening and morning game drives which made our stay even better. The camp itself is well organized and beautifully furnished. Lily has a good eye for details and made us feel at home from the very first moment. We got to enjoy the guides' expertise on flora and fauna but also astronomy. We will definitely come back one day!

In October 2016 I had the most wonderful South African Experience I could ever hope for at the Rukiya Safari Camp. I was with a group from the Discover Corps. Our host Lily Jackson and guide Conraad Loubser were superb, far exceeding my highest expectations.

Lily was very gracious, and the meals were extraordinary good and well planned and prepared; the camp's accommodations were relaxing and comfortable. I was impressed with the intentional eco friendly construction utilized in the building of the camp.

Conraad's expertise as a guide was par excellance. He was very patient in helping me spot wildlife that was next to impossible to detect. As a serious photographer I couldn't ask for a better guide as he would place the vehicle in a position for all his guests to get as good a view as possible. I have some of the best wildlife pictures that I have ever taken as a result of his thoughtfulness and care.

Absolutely the perfect experience in the Bush. Conrad and Lily provide the perfect atmosphere of comfort, professionalism, and luxury.

The game drives with Conrad were second to none in my travels. His expertise, charisma, and genuine passion make for a wonderful time. As a photographer, he knew exactly where to put me and how to find anything: made my job really easy.

For the lodge itself, the menu was spectacular and accommodation's quite lovely. Lily always had that one little extra thing that just put the experience over the top (hot water bottles under my pillow at night was bliss).

I'd recommend staying at Ruikya for any occasion.
