I got the feeling that either the owner ran out of money before opening, or lost interest or management is only there to answer the phone.

My room was clean and neat, but lacked the final finishing one would expect (all this can be probably be fixed with very little money and just some attention to detail) : no side table and light next to the bed, also the window above my door leading into the passage needs either a layer of paint or a curtain to keep the light out . The curtain on the outside windows was light and almost see through. The supplied towel was clean, but very old. There was very little and no extra toilet paper in the bathroom. The shower hot and cold water taps was the swapped around

This guest house has the potential to be very good as the old building and well maintained garden has its charm. Also safe parking is a big plus. Unfortunately, from my experience I would rate it as “budget”. You get a clean bed and hot shower..don’t expect more.

I would just like to thank you for the great service and assistance during a trying time. Of all the guest houses I called in the area you were definitely the most professional and really glad the other places did not answer my calls or return them. My parents in law had a great rest after the ordeal of a suspected heart attack and hospital stay in Kokstad.
Thank you for the updates and the personal touch and care you gave. I will definitely be recommending you to all my friend work colleagues. They say that the place was perfect to just relax and have some down time and the rooms were neat and tidy. Thank you.
