We went to Rapid Dawn for a friends birthday and I must say it was the best birthday weekend ever! What a peaceful weekend we had away from the Johannesburg buzz. The rooms are really spacious and clean too, the staff is really friendly. The owner Bertus Webber came to welcome us and made sure our stay was pleasant. I am definitely come back to this place !

We stayed at Rapid Dawn for the weekend as we had a wedding in the area. The management was dismal. Had to wait an hour for Helen to come back from the shop to open up. The room was basic and neat. Half of the plot is used as a Mica hardware depot and the venue looks like a building site. We had no hot water in our shower, others in our party had the same problem, we found two showers from the rooms which had hot water (the entire venue was let out fir the wedding).
As we were a big group most stayed in the hostel style building at the back; nowhere close to the river or any of the pics on their website half of the rooms in this bunker have no window to the outside!
The breakfast is terrible; over cooked eggs stale hard bread on the second morning we walked into the restaurant and were greeted with the the smell of some sort of mince bean concoction which smelt like an open sewer.

Thank you for the lovely stay at Rapid Dawn. We can truly recommend this beautiful establishment to anyone.
We had a wonderful time, the accommodation and surroundings are absolutely stunning, neat and well maintained. John, Jean, Erika and the man whose name I fail to remember were very helpful, assisted us in all our needs and were very friendly and accommodating as well. Thank you to each of you for ensuring we had the best time ever.
The accommodation was spacious, neat and much more than we imagined. The function venue was pleasant, well equipped and neat!! As it was my parents 40th Anniversary and dad’s 70th they had the best time and cannot stop talking about the weekend. The guests were also thoroughly impressed!
Thank you very very much!! We really appreciated all your effort!
