    Easy to moderately strenuous.
Depending on how hard you push yourself and how adventurous you are. Fun for everyone including familieswith children.

There are numerous advantages to this trail. The start is a bit steep and exposed, so it can be sweaty work. But once altitude is reached, the trail rises gradually, with a few ups and downs.

The vegetation is lush tropical and very much jungle like, so the trail is out of the sun for the most part. I did the trail in November, there were lots of wonderful flowers, orchids, the wild jasmine was in bloom, spreading a delicate fragrance in the forest. And of course there were lots of lovely butterflies.
Walking is easy for the most part, but roots, boulders and vines do make a bit of an obstacle course.

Every once in a while, the path touches the watercourse or crosses it, allowing access to the magnificent washed out boulders and lovely pools and cascades. As a matter of fact, very inviting, and bringing a bathing suit is a good idea.
Further up the gorge, the trail does climb and drop a bit, with ladders, or with the necessity of jumping from rock to dry rock.

Rainbow? Could be, the spray from water falling over the rocks and down the washed out canyon sides. Could be the lovely patterns in the layers of sandstone. Or the general geographic shape of the gorge in the form of a crescent.
