Public hospital located in the heart of Chatsworth.I would say the management needs to get more control over their staff , if each department starts to work efficiently , then I am sure the hospital will be to the best service to all. I had been in hospital for a week and still go for treatment and yes it definitely needs a revamp. Each person is entitled to their own view.

If there was half star I would have gone for it. My sister was referred to this hospital by our local clinic as they didn't have the injection for snake bites. No one knows what kind of snake my sister was bitten by, no one knows how poisonous or not poisonous the snake is. Maybe I am wrong but I think in some other hospitals this will be treated as an emergency but NOOOOOOOO NOT at RK Khan.

This is the worst hospital ever that I have come across. It's sad how these nurses behave towards the ill..

Possibly the worst government hospital I've ever had the displeasure of setting foot in. You'd think that these hospitals would fair better with all the taxes South Africans pay but it's quite the opposite.

The stench of illness hits you as soon as you step into the appallingly lit halls of this monument to mismanagement and complacency. Staff couldn't care less about patients, most doctors come across as entitled and arrogant, acting as if they're doing the patient a favor.

The peeling grey-green paint is a fitting symbol of the slow deterioration of this once great medical facility.

I weep for those who cannot afford private care and hope that one day this government would do something about this hospital.

There's a doctor by the name of Motlawung, shes very rude and has no manners, without even listening to what I had to say, after calling for almost an hour with the switchboard transferring me to casually,it rang for the 30min till she answered and hungup, kidney patience waits for hours before being attended to

Hernia problem. Arrived and sent to casualty. 1 hour wait. Understandable since they were attending to accident victims.
Brief basic check then referred to an intern who examined and booked an op. for 3 months time. No Medical aid so all this for free. I consider myself fortunate. Will report back after the op. in January 18.

I broke my leg 3 months ago and except for the long wait I found the doctors and staff acceptable and friendly.

Absolutely pathetic to see how tax payers money is being given to people who don't even care to do their jobs efficiently yet alone even Care for the patients they treat , my 57 year old mother with heart failure , hypertension and diabetes has been waiting for 9 months for an angiogram appointment and refused admittance as the doctors ,who are all students , never even look at the file before making a decision, ants infested beds and disgusting faeces covered toilets that rarely get cleaned .it's sad to see the state of basic health care needs not being merely met .

i went with my girlfriend as her nephew got suddenly ill. this is one of the worse hospitals i've ever been inside of the staff does not care the place is filthy, honestly i felt truly sad and hurt by the way people are treated in this hospital from patients having to sleep on the floor as no one even cared to help them. i advise anyone to rather not go here if they have the means as its beyond unacceptable.if i could give it negative star rating i would gladly do so im forced to give it one star. but this is the worse place to take your loved ones
