Good variety and prices are reasonable, plus has second hand books and a boardgames section. Also the store is willing to order any books on request.

A few days ago , before school started - I'm went to Protea Books to buy my school books, the lady that help us were extremely unhelpful. 2 days ago we started using a book in Tecnology for drawings, but they gave me that aswerbook and not the learners book, today my grandma did me a favour and went to go trade in the teachers book for the learners book, my grandma kindly explained what happened , and then they blamed my grandma of being unkind , I strongly advise anyone that needs to buy books or any thing for school purposes to go somewhere else. Never again will I go to that place with whose unhelpful, unkind staff.
