My family and I enjoyed our staying tremendously. It is our first time staying in the Eastern Cape. Atmosphere is positive and relaxing. We will be back soon
Very well run resort, camping and restaurant. Ziggys restaurant is a great little pub type eatery. Food and beer are good.
Resort has swimming pools and play areas for kids. Close the beach.
Very beautiful resort. Very tranquil, you can write and finish a novel in that environment. Really enjoyed the food and the service. People are so friendly and helpful.
Stayed there in December with my family and it is quite a nice place. The outdoor environment is beautiful, but the rooms could do with better beds, linen and bathrooms. The room that my parents were staying in didn't even have a proper closet, as I assume that there were renovations being done, which I found unprofessional as they could have clarified before hand. Otherwise, I would visit the place again to try out their outdoor activities and their spa, as I found the prices pretty reasonable.
Whilst the venue boasts good accommodation and facilities it lacks the customer service and comfort. With cheap bedding and glorified wendy houses this place is more a backpackers dream than a 3 star comfy stay. With features such as being close to nature you'd find yourself trying to defend your deck lunch against a bunch of monkeys. The venue is situated next to the beach but there is no place to swim due to the rocks, which also has an accompanying foul smell. To top it off, your visitors would be forced to park outside while paying for entrance of R55 just to see you. All in all the entertainment they offer does not make up for the lacklustre service they offer.
First time visiting the lodge and I was very impressed! The atmosphere is so relaxed. It's quiet, next to the beach and have friendly, helpful personnel.
Lights don't work. Only bedside lamps. Kettle doesn't work trips the electrical box, when you open the door the handle only comes out not the drawer, no blackbags or lid on drum. You are suppose to be a 4 star resort. Oh and lets not forget how unproffesional the spa is. Changed the time 3 times then we decided to cancel. Would not reccomend this place. Waking up and you cant get coffee super dissaponted
Visited to view the wedding venues and was a bit disappointed that the person I was e-mailing wasn't aware of our visit and didn't meet us at reception as scheduled. The visit still went well and everything is exactly as portrayed on their website.
An excellent stop-over in Port Elizabeth in the heart of the fynbos biome. A fantastic view of the ocean from the cabins. Braai facilities and a swimming pool are available. Close to the city centre. However the breakfast is very over priced and not clear on it's inclusion in its explanation.
Beautiful - neat place to camp with rich green grass. Electricity and water provided. Also stayed in the chalet at one stage but found that kind of stuffy. Clean ablution blocks. Sea very close by
Excellent food. And service. Lovely venue.
Probably best described as value for money accomodation. Great for camps, church conferences, school groups - not ideal for family vacations.
Nice place for holiday and family. Perfect view. Loved it
Went there for drinks at the bar, service was adequate. I had a small snack of grilled butternut wedges which was ok. It did not take long to prepare though which was good. I would go again if invited but it wouldn't be my first suggestion.
Service was excellent. Good Restaurant. Clean bathroom facilities. Beautiful caravansites.
It was a lovely experience to be there especially the room service and there view it was so perfect and its a nice place to go to
Nice facilities and kids had fun. Wonderful friendly staff!!!
Accommodation was clean, friendly staff but we arrived at 2:30 only to be told the room wasn't ready as the previous guests bags were still in it. They did finally place us in another room. Place is good for the kids with lots of activities. I am more of a secluded bush accommodation kind of person so I found it a bit busy. Chalets are quite close together and not a lot of privacy. I think most city dwellers would be happy with this accommodation. The pub food wasn't great but you can just cook for yourself as it is self catering.
Sub standard accommodation but expensive. I booked dinner, bed and breakfast with lunch pack as I was on a business trip. Had horrible dinner of fish and chips from the pub there. I had to have my breakfast as a takeaway after being told I was not on the list and made to wait while someone was phoning reception. After 10 minutes of waiting, I went to reception myself only to find that no call to enquire from the kitchen was received. I was never given the lunch pack. I will never stay there even on holiday
