Wonderful campsites with plenty of flat and shaded spots and clean ablutions and access to the beach and lagoon. Excellent budget option for exploring the Kogelberg area. Only some minor issues - some broken glass and tins lying around and as some users have pointed out, there is zero enforcement of the rules particularly that of "No music allowed" which is displayed on two notices at the entrance. There is also nobody on duty during the day and there are no security personnel. If these bother you, then the campsite is not for you.

Beautiful location. It's a pity the facilities are a little rough but given the behavior of some of our fellow campers, revving their cars and blasting music just before dawn when their beers ran out to signal their departure, it wasn't surprising to hear the staff lament the frequency of breakage / vandalism. We'll go back, bit pick a different spot in the park.

    Pros:
    Nice size plots with shade.
    Awesome beach/lagoon with great views.
    Clean toilets/showers.

    Cons:
No enforcement of the rules so loud music till 04:00 in the morning.
No motorcycles allowed?!?( although you can rev your souped up cars with free flow exhausts and play loud music through you 1000000 watt amp till anytime of the morning.)
There is a large informal settlement close by and security is non existent.( Not their fault though)

If you want a peaceful weak end away with the family or you are an Adventure traveler on two wheels this is not the place for you.The no Motorcycles allowed is typical of South Africans lumping all into one category and discriminating against .

If You want a boys/girls piss up party this is for you.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent visit to the caravan park. I stayed there from the 19 December 2016 and was supposed to leave on Saturday 24 December 2016. I left a day earlier.Firstly to pay R1 350.00 for 5 night and land up along a gravel road whereby the rest of the park the road are tarred and then have to camp in an area where is is just dusty dark sand which blows all over the show and gets into everything. Food, tent and utensils. Why are tent campers left to camp on sand while caravans get the nice green grass to camp on with shelter on both sides. Yes I did ask for no electricity but if I am paying R1 350.00 for 5 nights is there such a difference for caravan campers.I am 59 and have stayed in numerous Caravan Parks all around South Africa with my 2 sons. 1st class private Caravan Parks, Municipal Parks from Graskop in Mpumalanga to Muizenburg, Onrus and Melkos, in the Western Cape. Private Parks in Sabie, St Lucia, Kommetjie, Limpopo, Drakensburg, Golden Gate and others. I have camped 5 times in various cape sites in The Kruger National Park and in the Pilansburg 4 times. Cape Nature parks. And this was my worst experience. Despite reporting to the Security staff more than 3 times. I was subject to load music early hours of the morning. Drunk teens and adults. I was sworn at on one occasion when I asked a PARENT of one of the teens to respect others and quieten things down a bit . This was at 2am in the morning. Young people were driving round and round the park with radios at full volume I asked the security staff what has been done about it and I got answers like "We are looking into it". I reported the car incident TWICE in one evening. As you enter the park there is a BIG sign saying no load music. This never happened. The bathrooms were no cleaned daily. A shampoo bottle was left in one of the showers and 2 days later it was still there. Empty toiled roll where left lying on the floor for 2 days as well. Someone had broken a bottle of roll on deodorant right in front of the wash basins and 2 days later it was still there. I will make sure I let everyone on as many websites as possible regarding my stay
