Very helpful, knowledgable and friendly staff that all participate in outdoor activities. Outdoor Escape stocks trail running gear (shoes, clothing, hydration packs, etc.), mountain bikes, gear and spares, backpacks, tents and other trekking equipment. They also stock rock climbing gear. Reasonable pricing of all products. Great customer service.

Everything you need for outdoor adventures. They stock some brands that u don't often find. Nice bikes and backpacks and all the climbing and hiking essentials. Trust the mechanic.

The friendliest, most knowledgeable guys with great gear, the best advice and super affordable prices. I've been shopping here for years and I've geared myself for work in Antarctica to hiking, camping and travelling around Southern Africa.

One of the very best outdoor related stores.
Outdoor Escape holds a HUGE product range and hold gear and apparel for a wide range of sports: Mountain biking, kayaking, snorkelling, rock climbing, mountain climbing, hiking and trail running comes to my mind. The range of technical mountain climbing and hiking gear on offer is impressive. An example: this is the outdoor shop with the widest range of lightweight cooking stoves I have yet seen.
Unlike for certain South African outdoor franchises, all the staff of Outdoor Escape are experienced outdoorsmen and/or sport enthusiasts. I would be more trustful of their product recommendations.
Finally, I found their prices are very competitive, often the cheapest in Stellenbosch - which is impressive for a non-franchise shop.
So to wrap it up:
