  Shoprite n pep are the only 2 proper shops at the bottom. On the top there's a pharmacy( excellent nurse), a hair salon(not bad at all), a poorly done furniture shop, a DVD shop n a spaza shop. Close to a garage( which has a reasonably priced car wash). They have been renovating this place for over 5 years n still aren't done. The road leading to shoprite is in terrible condition. Convenient for grocery shopping only.

  Checkers convenient but centre is a bit run down. See construction in progress. Hope they upgrading the centre.

  Site still "under construction " - hopefully 2018 will see it completed Shoprite and a myriad of small businesses helps to keep the centre buzzing.

  The place is still under construction, so it is in a state, but Shoprite staff are thee friendliest, most helpful people ever, liquor store needs to be closed down for selling expired items,when a consumer made the manager aware of it he shouted at her

  Not my favourate place, but it is the only one in the area so it is convenient. Place smells and isn't very clean. Often have to walk around looking for baskets even when the shop is not busy because the baskets are all packed up in the parcel counter. Trolley wheels are in a pathetic condition. Had some bad experiences with perishables, so just use it for daily bread and milk and the odd non perishable. Oh yes and dog food as well. But then again, Newlands City is a forgotten white elephant.

  Shops are small and cramped. Looks shoddy. However convenient for those residing nearby as the post office and saps as well as checkers located here.

  Parking lot is in a terrible state, pot holes the size of tyres. Inside is dark, dirty and untidy. Tiles broken. Roof missing. Been renovating for the past 3 years.

  Shoprite shopping mall in New Dawn Park, Newlands East, toilets are in bad shape.
