Easy to navigate around and very safe
The food available at the north campus conference centre is scrumptious and tasty. Surrounded by green trees and colourful flowers everywhere!
Peaceful university filled with natural wildlife and the best library facilities in the Bay. Picture taken at entrance of basement floor in the library.
My alma matter! This university is one of the most beautiful Campuses in South Africa. Located on a nature reserve, it is the only university where you can experience world life such as zebras, bucks, monkeys and all sorts of birds a stones throw from the beautiful architecture. It's not unusual to see Monkeys playing on the trees or outside the offices or lecture halls.
I hope in the near future this University will be better known as a truly African University that produces world class research. The facilities are in deed world class.
Course received was very well presented and organized.
This is by far the most beautiful University in RSA backed by its nature reserved environment .
Came to this campus during student vac. and I was very impressed with the infrastructure - the general condition of the buildings looks good; very good upkeep from what I observed.
The facilities were decent too, especially for handicapped (wheelchair bound, specifically) people - there were one or two areas where the wheelchairs would hit a dead end but it's still a far cry better than places like UKZN (where accessibility is near to zero). I observed several people with motorised wheelchairs navigating around and I was very impressed.
One disadvantage though is that the elevators require an access card to use, which is great to control unwanted guests but people in wheelchairs would struggle without special assistance. Still, a very nice looking campus; from its design it was obviously a former technical campus.
A very diversified university. From the music building that goes alive at night to the tallest building that makes the university distinguished from the rest
